About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

The instant Sunday Times bestseller!

Get ready for one of the most gripping psychological thrillers of the year, perfect for fans of Gillian McAllister, Lisa Jewell and Paula Hawkins.

A tragic accident? Or murder?

A woman falls to her death from a London bank's twenty-fifth-floor roof terrace.

You're arrested for her murder.

You tell the police that you only met the victim the previous night at your office party. She was threatening to jump from the roof, but you talked her down.

You've got nothing to do with this tragedy.
You're clearly being framed.

So why do the police keep picking holes in your story?
And why doesn't your lawyer seem to believe you?

It soon becomes obvious that you're keeping secrets.

But who are you trying to protect? And why?

Obsession. Intrigue. Revenge. Get ready for one of the most twisty thrillers this year!

‘I’ve been yearning for something to give me Girl on the Train vibes. . . this is that book.’ Lisa Jewell
'Totally unpredictable. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough' Claire Douglas
'A deliciously clever book. Jaw-dropping. Absolutely outstanding' Andrea Mara
'Utterly gripping from first to last ... I guarantee you’ll be absolutely hooked.' The Guardian

Fabulous story

Sad, uplifting, intriguing, loved the characters and how the plot wove into a story of sisterhood and love, fantastic!

My first Ruth Mancini novel which I enjoyed

I was confused at the beginning as I thought Dan was the guilty party until later I realised it wasn’t. Great twists but a bit unbelievable at points. Still a good page turner.

Amazing Book!!!

An absolutely fantastic book, brilliantly read, narration was absolutely fantastic, plot superb (I worked it out quite early on but this did not detract from enjoyment) I’m really loving this authors clever work. Downloading the next one now. Enjoy!

Didn’t quite live up to the hype

Didn’t quite live up to the hype, but I did enjoy it, particularly the narration, which was excellent.

The story was good, but I guessed a good part of it early on. Was well worth one credit though.

Fabulous

Haven’t listen to this author before, but really glad I did. Had me hooked from the start and didn’t ever get boring. Definitely worth a listen if you like a good twist.

Brilliant!

Loved the twists and turns of this story. Some reviewers say it's repetitive, but it needs to be for you to understand the events and how they fit together. Very cleverly written; I was gripped from start to finish.

The performance was very good, but I knocked a point off because I found the pronunciation of the word 'says' very irritating.
