Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Property might be theft. But the housing market is murder.

My name is Al. I live in wealthy people's second homes while their real owners are away.

I don’t rob them, I don’t damage anything… I’m more an unofficial house-sitter than an actual criminal.

Life is good.

Or it was - until last night, when my friends and I broke into the wrong place, on the wrong day, and someone wound up dead.

And now…now we’re in a great deal of trouble.

Featuring crooked houses, dodgy coppers and a lot of lockpicking, A Beginner's Guide to Breaking and Entering is a gripping thriller about what it's like to be young, skilled, unemployed - and on the run.

Good characters, some humour

Not as good as I’d hoped from newspaper review. Amusing in a gentle way. Silly plot, good narrator.

Don’t miss this!

I was doubtful about this book but the language used by the author and the narration were a perfect match and made it really fun and most enjoyable. . Philip Dunster brought it so completely to life, wonderful timing read so naturally - I was hooked! The storyline is really novel, truly witty and clever, captivating and clever.

"Page turner" or sleep timer resetter

A great story excellently composed and well delivered by the narrator. Not sure how there could be a second book in the series but I'd listern to it if there was.

A Somewhat Accurate Depiction of British Undercurrents

I quite honestly forgot who the author was. I of course mean that with no offence but it was absolutely sidewinding to consider this from Andrew Hunter Murray. A thrilling, dedicated telling of a small fish perspective with plenty of little pessimistic scoffs at the larger pond. Believable characters, descriptive scenery and a fitting pacing. I will be reccomending this to friends and family.

What an easy listen! Looked forward to car journeys to catch up on the story. Humour, familiar landscapes, intriguing plot, interesting characters - great book. Looking forward to his next one….
