About this listen

New Year's Eve, London.

Outside the Hope & Glory pub, a man has been left to die. A victim of extraordinary violence, he will never walk or speak again. He remains in hospital, nameless, until criminal defence lawyer Sarah Kellerman walks onto his ward. Sarah barely recognises the man she once worked with. He was honourable and kind - what was he involved in? Who wanted him dead?

But in her race to uncover the truth, Sarah comes to realise there are two men in her life that she never really knew at all....

From one of crime fiction's most compelling voices, One Dark, Two Light is where the personal and criminal collide, as Sarah works to bring dark secrets into the light.

Read this authors previous book which I enjoyed, this is so predictable. Wouldn’t recommend it

Disappointing

I enjoyed the story apart from the section with the “no comments” which went on for far too long.

Great voices. Good story.

Good murder mystery with a brilliant narrator. Could have listened to her all day and night. Lewis

Very good story

This is my first Mancini read and I thoroughly enjoyed it, long time since I have wanted to continue reading just could not put the book down.

One Dark

Based on the cover, I thought this might be too dark or grim or an edge-of-your-seat thriller, but actually, it's a thoroughly well-plotted mystery. Lawyer-turned-detective. Very much enjoyed. Looking forward to her next book.

Intriguing and engaging

What I love about Ruth Mancinis books are that the characters are richly drawn, their private lives are as important as the story that unfolds.. and the stories are always intriguing

A beautifully crafted drama

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

It's a fascinating story, full of twists and turns. A violent attack on a man outside a London pub leads to a youth being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Through teenage misguided allegiances and family loyalties, this cleverly written book takes you on a turbulent ride.

All is not what it seems.

Another book that I looked forward to listening to. My car journeys were never long enough. I hope there will be more to come from Sarah Kellerman.

Brilliant again!
