'Once in a while I read a series that reminds me of just why I love enemies to lovers, slow burn, and morally grey characters so much. Gods and Monsters is that series. This is perfection. Amber Nicole's Dianna is the FMC of my soul' NISHA J. TULI

Don't miss this second addictive instalment in the Gods & Monsters series from BookTok sensation, Amber V. Nicole!

WHERE THERE ARE GODS, THERE ARE ALSO MONSTERS . . .

When I burn this world to embers, and you paint me as the villain, remember,
I really did try to be good . . . once.

Dianna is hellbent on revenge. As the last shred of her humanity is ripped from her, she decides to embrace her monstrous side and set the worlds alight.

Samkiel alone refuses to believe that she has become the monster that everyone else sees, and he'll do anything in his power to save her from herself, even if it means losing her.

With every realm now at risk from Kaden's army, and a myriad of new threats on the horizon, Samkiel can't afford to let his guard down. And as Dianna's thirst for blood only increases, he is running out of time to save them both . . .
Don't miss the first book in this series, THE BOOK OF AZRAEL and look out for THE DAWN OF THE CURSED QUEEN . . .

'Amber's series breaks the rules in the best way. Her main character is strong, capable, and unapologetically powerful. There is no damsel here. This story is filled with fast-paced action, an in-depth world, and a romance that goes from simmer to boil. If you like romantasy, read this!' RAVEN KENNEDY

'A wicked ride from beginning to heart shattering end. Leaving me literally screaming for more. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to get more our morally corrupt heroine who you can't help but root for, along with the giggle inducing banter between her and the heroic god Samkiel' HANNAH NICOLE MAERHER

Unique and enjoyable story with poor pacing that sadly loses steam

I really love the plot of this series. I enjoy Dianna's morally grey character and the complexity of all the characters who feel very fully realised.
The beginning of this book was superb but the middle seemed malingering with lots of dialogue and inner struggles but nothing else happening. I think perhaps the book needed much more editing! I managed to stick with it and the last 3 hours felt very rushed with lots of confusing action, different character perspectives and little resolution.
Had it not been for the poor pacing I would have given 5 stars

if your into edging this books for you

I enjoyed it but I did not need to be so long! I'm all for a slow burn, 20+ hours, tension builder, but if I had to hear about that god damn door one more time 🙃 !! the middle was so drawn out it kept me from fully submerging into the story.

Full of unnecessary chapters and content that didn't move the plot forward

I couldn't finish book 2 - so slow and boring! Really disappointed 😞. I won't waste my credit if I were you.

Disappointing following the first book.

I loved the first book- so much so, I jumped to read the second. This books a seriously slow burner, with many chapters being unnecessary and verging on boring. I love a long, slow burn book series- but I couldn’t finish this at all. Don’t get me wrong, there were some parts of the book that I enjoyed- but the repetitiveness of events with the two main characters, was frustrating to read and unbearable. I had to skip quite a few sections, it gave me the ick and in the end, I gave up!
