About this listen
She wants to bang a werewolf, not become one.
Sophie Burroughs is determined to be a witch. Her grandmother was a witch. All the other supes say she smells like a witch, but she can’t cast a spell to save her life.
Sprouting fur is so not on her to-do list.
But when a smokin' hot werewolf bites her and then accuses her of crimes against his pack, she has until the next full moon to prove him wrong and stop his magic from transforming her into a wolf.
A romp in the sack would be a nice bonus, too.
Trace Thibodeaux didn’t mean to bite Sophie. The red wolves have been cursed, she's the prime suspect, and if he wants to keep his rank in the pack, he has to end her magic by any means necessary.
But that doesn’t include sheathing his sword in a witch’s scabbard.
He’s gotten into bed with the enemy before, and that’s a mistake he’ll never make again.
Or will he?
If you like funny heroines and smoldering shifters, you'll love this steamy paranormal romantic comedy.

Hero is Marks. Heroine is Sophie.
Marks is second in command of his pack. The Apha gives him a command , to find his pack mate , Jackson, who went puff , disappeared. Sophie is a witch or she tries to be , her grandmother was a powerful witch, with Sophie what ever she tries nothing happens.
The pack think that Sophie put a spell on Jackson and the pack. Not only that but Marks bit Sophie 98% she might change into a wearwolf. Grab it and see if Sophie gets her wish and becomes a Witch or does she turn into a wearwolf. What happened to Jackson
Hollie Jackson Is fantastic with her performance. She did all the characters great. You can tell which character is who by Hollie tone

Absolutely brilliant

This was a brilliant light hearted romance. Sophie has followed her best friend and moved to New Orleans. Now that she knows about the supernatural, she wants to fulfill her dream of being recognised as a witch; after all she has her late grandmother's grimoire, so she must be a witch.
Getting bitten by a werewolf and being accused of cursing the werewolf pack was not in her plans. Trace just wants to find his best friend and he thinks he knows just the witch responsible, only he hadn't counted on biting and being so attracted to her.Together they try and solve the mystery of the missing wolf.
I loved the interactions of all these characters, the lighthearted humour just made it so much more entertaining.
The narration from Hollie Jackson is top class and she brings such a warmth to the characters that you can't help love them. I would definitely listen to other books narrated by Hollie.
RomCom, very easy to listen to

Shift Happens is the second book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series. Shift Happens is a standalone but if you want to know more about Jane (Sophie's vampire best friend) then read the first book (Licensed to Bite) too. I enjoyed Shift Happens better than the first book. Trace's best friend and pack-mate is missing and Sophie is the main suspect. I figured out who the culprit was relatively quickly but the where the friend was I completely missed. And I giggled when Trace called Sophie out for missing it as well. Loved the snark and emotion and giggles.
I received this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.
