Summary
Released from the magic pokey and paroled with limited power is enough to make any witch grumpy. However, if you throw in a recently resurrected cat, a lime-green Kia, and a sexy egotistical werewolf, it's enough to make a gal fly off the edge. Not to mention a mission...with no freaking directions. So here I sit in Asscrack, West Virginia, trying to figure out how to complete my mysterious mission before All Hallows Eve when I'll get turned into a mortal. The animals in the area are convinced I'm the Shifter Whisperer (whatever the hell that is) and the hotter-than- asphalt-in-August werewolf thinks I'm his mate. Now apparently, I'm slated to save a bunch of hairy freaks of nature? If they think I'm the right witch for the job, they've swallowed some bad brew.

Loved it
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Stephanie Reggio
I really enjoyed this story, right from the off I liked the main character, Zelda is quirky, selfish, sassy and sarcastic but obviously her heart is good (even if she tries to deny it) and when we’re first introduced to her familiar, a cat called Fabio that as it happens she was in magical jail for killing, I couldn’t help but chuckle.
Narrator was perfect, great story full of great characters that I’ve just added this author to my tbr list.

A Quick Entertaining Read
Although I enjoyed reading this book - it was good - the way the characters behaved and how they talked to one another I could well do without. There are a lot of fashion and pop culture references that I didn't get and I didn't really like our heroine and her continued nicknames. So although it wasn't all niggles and frustrations, there were enough to mean that I won't be buying any more of this series
I would like to just add that I downloaded the narration of this book and I was impressed with Stephanie Riggio's performance; she is really good and I would buy books narrated by her in the future.

Original and fun
I loved this foul-mouthed witch with her sass and sense of humour. The narration was lively and the story is fun. Highly recommended.

Fun Read
I enjoyed the characters and the story of Zelda. Fabio was funny and turned out who I thought he was in the end. The book was a nice light read. I would definitely recommend this. Now excuse me while I buy book 2.
