About this listen

It's hard enough being an undergraduate student, an intern at Downtown Manhattan's police station, and a bouncer at a local bar. Add her now ex-boyfriend who recently dumped her for the school's resident bimbo - oh, and she's a werewolf.

Mackenzie Grey meets her match when she is kidnapped by the Brooklyn Pack and tossed between Sebastian and Jonah - the Alpha and the Beta. Being a lone-wolf in the city is dangerous, and now that the Pack has found her, so can every supernatural being in the Tri-State area. And not even her sarcastic, smart mouth can get her out of this.

When a string of kidnappings involves Mackenzie in supernatural politics, she questions her new acquaintances and finds unlikely allies. Can she escape Pack law and keep her freedom - or will she be condemned to an unwanted path.

Contains mature themes.

Easy listen, nothing complex just a bit of fun listening. The Scottish accent is absolutely awful but everything else is great.

I absolutely loved all of them. The story lines led on perfectly and the characters evolved with them.
Mackenzies story and sass was excellent.
I downloaded book 5 as soon as I’d finished.

This book (I’m half way in) is awesome!
The narrator of the book is perfect, she can do male and female voices and really creates a great essence for the book!

I usually do not read smaller books as they're too short and therefore usually skip a lot of story line, don't have enough explanation for who they are or why they're there etc. this series, I am very impressed! all really good and lead into the next perfectly. I've laughed, and cried massively throughout this collection and have now started the trials.....such a shame the trials isn't a collection offer too. worth a read, love, loss, gain and shame....lots of swearing but I'm the same so can't say it makes it a bad read as others have said. basically a potty mouthed rebellious woman has a whole world of pain, love loss and learning to do throughout this series.....worth a read for sure 😊

great collection

The idea of this story is acctually very good. But the main character is super annoying. I managed to read until the 3. books beginning. Main character does something stupid because she things she knows better then others, then she understands that she did something stupid. Then shi is in the slump and lives it out on everybody. And then the loop continuous. She just dont think. I cant relly feel sorry for people that do one and the same mistake many times. If the writer would have writen a smarter or more stable main character then I would have loved this story.

Supposed to be detective intern, self-admittedly can't read bodylanguage and while critical, isn't analysing observations or thinking on information that's being hand-fed. It seems a good and interesting addition, a helpful tool to delve deeper into the plot, but doesn't make sense to me in the way it's utilized.
It's aggrevating, though it may just be my own peeve rubbed the wrong way.

The story itself is just what I like in urban fantasy - so much so that I will endure my peeve and keep trying to enjoy the other elements in the story.

Good flow and concept, annoying inconsistancies
