I listened to this book on a recommendation from my wife. we already own a Springer spaniel. she said it me and my dog . but it was more than that it was a mirror image of parts of my life and how my life is. the story is brilliant and an inspiration to how you should live your life . the story is very well red and keep you wanting more . thank you kerry and max for this amazing story.

I already read this book a year or two ago but, as a fellow Spaniel lover, wanted to listen to it on Audible too.

It’s extremely well narrated and the author is living his best life after a bad road accident that left him in a lot of pain.

You can tell the author is a really nice guy, and I’m glad he recovered from his trauma. It’s a really lovely story.

Loved this measured account of the deep downs and final ups of this man’s life. The story is engrossing without needing to resort to the usual engineered plot twists and breathy, dramatic, grabbing narrator. Heartwarming.

Nothing to dislike especially if you're spaniel lover x I'm on my 2nd spaniel and 2nd lab, I wish my spaniel was as good as Max but hey, he's very good with vulnerable adult ex foster child they are as thick as thieves x I'm about to purchase the 2nd audible book but don't want Max to not be in it!!! what an amazing story of what a puppy dog can do to for your home and soul ❤️

I loved this audiobook and found I couldn't stop listening to the tale unfold. So much rang true of my own experience with illness and depression. With tears of recognition, solidarity and hope, I found this story was shared by doubtless many others. Thank you for being brave, sharing your story and providing ongoing hope to people like me. My current and now third canine companion is a lifesaver, just like my previous two dogs, like Max and many more dogs I'm sure.
