A few years ago, I came close to burnout but didn’t have the words or the tools to really understand what was happening. This book would have really helped me at that time. For one thing, I now finally understand why I could sleep all night at the time and still wake up feeling exhausted. The book offers a practical 7-step plan to recover from burnout that’s backed in science but easy to follow. I especially liked how it helps you identify what kind of burnout you're experiencing so you can take more targeted action. (I didn’t know that not all burnout looks the same). The book shared a lot of practical actions that you can choose from, to build your own personal program, and broke it down into small actions. I think this is key. Recovering from burnout is so personal, that the actions to help recovery have to be small and doable, fit into your daily life and be something you can actually stick with. And this book helps with that. I also appreciated the holistic approach, covering everything from rest and nutrition to emotional recovery. The narration was gentle and supportive, which made it feel like the author was walking alongside me. Highly recommend, especially if you’re navigating a busy life and need small steps that make a big difference.
