Summary
If you’ve ever been so pissed off that you did things that you regretted, or ruined your own day and some other people’s, too, this book is for you. Or if you feel angry every single day and it’s affecting your health and sleep and love of life. Or if you have very good reasons to be mad as hell, and you aren’t going to take it anymore. Or if you’ve repressed your anger all your life and now it’s all coming out at once. Microcosm Publishing best seller Dr. Faith explains here what the hell is going on in your brain and how to retrain yourself to deal with enraging situations more productively and without torpedoing your relationships.
Unf*ck Your Anger gives you a heady dose of neuroscience and cultural explanation of what anger is and what it does to you, and then gives you a handy four-step checklist to help you deal with maddening situations after (or before) the fact, guidance on getting over things, and a chapter on forgiveness. Your brain actually knows what it’s doing, and anger can be a good thing sometimes - just not if it’s ruining your life.

Good but sweary
I like a swear, but a bit too much needless swearing. Good content though really

Gloriously Sweary
Well written and well read and gloriously sweary (what would you expect with a title like this). It’s well explain and understandable.

Starting to feel unf*cked
The author of this book is obviously perfectly equipped to deal with all sorts of mental health issues and, in this book at least, gets the message across in a unique, entertaining and colourful way.
Yes there is a fair amount of swearing, but it lends itself well to the subject matter. To all those that refused to listen to this audiobook because of the sweariness and couldn't see the benefits of the content then you've missed out. Swear words are just words like any other, used to convey a message and not the actual message.
I found myself agreeing with the advice given, the explanations of various mental health issues and finding myself saying, 'yes that sounds like me ' quite often.
Bravo!

I get it
After a recent outburst of what I now know to be IED I have been researching the issues I have. This audio book nailed some things for me. The sections are clear and not too long and don’t contain too much psycho jargon. Great listen and it’s been helpful to point me the right direction to get help

what an engaging experience on audio
This book has a lot of relevant content and many tools and strategies. It's also highly engaging and well structured. I particularly found the tips easy to implement and easy to remember. And I must say that I enjoyed listening to the narrator of the audiobook very much, her articulation brought a sense of humour to all the swearing that occurs throughout the book, which I imagine was intended (and somehow appropriate as this is a book on anger!). I highly recommend this to anybody who would like to get a handle on their anger and have a fun way to accomplish that!

How to save yourself
I wish I’d heard this book sooner. But after listening to it I know I wouldn’t have really understood and accepted everything in it until everything in my life that led up to me needing to read it. I’ll be listening to it every so often. Just to keep it all in my brain. Thank you Dr Harper.
