Summary
For over 20 years, Joanne Lee's mother kept the remains of three newborn babies hidden in her wardrobe. For the first time since exposing her mother's crimes, Joanne breaks her silence over her family's horrific ordeal.
Growing up, Joanne suffered at the hands of a violent boyfriend and controlling relatives, as her mother lapsed into a downward spiral following the breakup of her marriage. But the consequences of her mother's lifestyle turned out to be worse than Joanne could ever have imagined. She already knew about the baby buried in a shallow makeshift grave next to the family plot. But when Joanne came across a red plastic bin in her mother's wardrobe in 2009, she realised that the family home held an even more sinister secret. Amazing
I couldn’t wait to hear the next chapter. How Joanne turned out to be one of the most amazing and inspiring people (and mother) from the awful childhood she had, is just astonishing. God bless you Joa. Xx

Silent sister audio
I have only recently discovered audio books and I like the Cathy glass books but I came across this and thought I’d give it a listen to and I have not stopped listening to it.
I’ve only just finished it and hope she does another book look forward to the next

Unbelievable!
Joanne had a motherless childhood and mothered her siblings really well. She grew up very quickly and never enjoyed her childhood. However, the mother was an alcoholic and seems to have mental health issues she too needed help, she did not know how to parent. This story reads like fiction but is real life. It needs to be made into a film! very well written and narrated book.

amazing true stoey
I loved this story. it wasn't over dramatised and it was easy to listen too. The characters and their relationships came to life. very sad really but a great book.
