Summary

Juliet Lawler has got a score to settle against the drug dealers of Denver. Vance Crowe has made it his mission that Jules won’t get dead while dishing out vigilante justice. Jules doesn’t have time for romance; she’s too busy saving the world. She enlists Zip (the gunstore owner), Heavy (an ex-PI) and Frank (a mysterious recluse) to help. The Rock Chicks get involved to provide advice and guidance. The Hot Bunch adopt Jules as one of their own. Even though Jules tries to hang onto her inner Head-Crackin’ Mamma Jamma, the Rock Chicks, Hot Bunch, Jules’s long-suffering Uncle Nick and Jules’s friend, the rotund, African-American, Jackie-O wannabe, May, will stop at nothing to wear her down. But Jules makes some bad guys pretty angry, and one will stop at nothing to take her out.

About the Creator - Kristen Ashley

About the Creator

Kristen Ashley is the New York Times bestselling author of over 80 romance novels. She’s a hybrid author, publishing titles both independently and traditionally. Her books have been translated in 14 languages and she’s sold millions of books. In March, she released the The Girl in The Woods, the second in her romantic thriller series, Misted Pines. And her latest audiobook is Perfect Together, a second chance romance that will break your heart and then put it back together stronger than before. She also published Too Good To be True, her first-ever murder mystery romance in an episodic format on Kindle Vella. Kristen, born in Gary and raised in Brownsburg, Indiana, and was a fourth-generation graduate of Purdue University. Since, she has lived in Denver, the West Country of England, and she now resides in Phoenix. She worked as a charity executive for 18 years prior to beginning her independent publishing career. She now writes full-time. Although romance is her genre, the prevailing themes running through all of Kristen’s novels are friendship, family and a strong sisterhood. To this end, and as a way to thank her readers for their support, Kristen has created the Rock Chick Nation, a series of programs that are designed to give back to her readers and promote a strong female community. Brilliant

I’m not sure what I like more, Kristen’s words or Susannah’s performance. With these two aspects it’s a winning combination. This storyline had me in stitches. Brilliant.

Great book

I love this book and the narration was excellent. I reread these books time and again. Each time gets better

one for the girls - with attitude

Wow. Action, romance, family and kick-ass friends. What more could a girl ask for .

In danger of being formulaic

Good fun as usual - but nothing really new in this one which is disappointing.

I do love this story

It is one of my favourite books of the series. All the rock chicks books are light and fun but in this one the heroine actually knows how to properly kick ass. The whole macho man thing is a bit much at times but I looked passed that and enjoyed the characters banter and all the funny parts when the side characters from the previous books come in to help out.
Susannah Jones is, as always, BRILLIANT. Love all of her voices. She really makes this book even better.

Technical Issues - returned

Susannah Jones is probably trying her best. However her voice moved in and out of audibility. Also her low frequency seemed attenuated leading to a screechy chipmunk style.
