Summary
Controlled all her life by her religious mother, fifteen-year-old Kelly Raven commits the ultimate sin. She soon discovers that running away to the cold, frightening streets of London is less harsh than her previous life. A drug dealer, two fraudsters and a prostitute are her new family now and she becomes the woman she was destined to be.

Absolutely Brilliant
one of the best books I've listed to or read. the narrator was amazing. this story had me gripped one minute and in tears of laughter the next. I could imagine this as a blockbuster movie

Loved this, possibly one of the best listens yet!
Great characters, narator perfect once you get used to accent, just brilliant, find yourself caring for the baddies, this will make you both giggle and cringe and has a real warmth to it, and hope!

Wow! Blown away!
I LOVED this book! First book I’ve read by Kerry Barnes and I loved it!! Didn’t want to put it down and at work I was desperate for home time so I could continue listening. Yep there’s bad language but to me it’s a normal part of reading this type of genre. I mean imagine Kerry Raven or Eddie Raven saying “oopsie daisy” or “blooming heck” or “darn” 🤣🤣 buying next book immediately.
Kerry Barnes and Annie Aldington are superb author and narrator 🥰😍🥰😍

Compulsive listen
Great story well narrated. Plenty of twists and turns. The story could have been extended in places but a really good listen, on to book 2 for sure

A romp through south London’s criminal underworld
My second book in this series and I like the atmosphere being a south London girl myself. The loyalty among thieves and villains is paramount and traitors get their just desserts. A lot of twists and gruesome crimes in this one and a sort of other-worldly feel quite alien to ordinary people. I will continue on but I find the blanket use of serious bad language very distracting and wish there was less of it. The narration is stilted sometimes but actually I am warming to it. Would have been five stars but the language is irritating.

Wow
Another great listen from Kerry Barnes. The story follows the life of Kelly from an awful start with an abusive mother to respected woman. Lots of twists and turns in this one. The narrator was excellent, changing into different characters. Highly recommended

Ace Story line & characters
After listening to many of book with this sort of story involving the London gangsters from the early 70 & on wards. Crew secrets is one of the best to this date. This author is new & I am now listening to her next book Ruthless
