About this listen
The Alexandre Dumas Collection, with its deep roots in French history, sheds light on the innate sense of honor, duty, responsibility, and love felt by those who lived during the time. In the first story, The Count of Monte Cristo, you will be drawn into the adventures that a formerly imprisoned sailor endures in search of fortune and revenge, only to find mercy, forgiveness, and love at the end of his journey.
The Three Musketeers, the second story, is rife with friendship, loyalty, duels for honor, and position. Ultimately, the story’s protagonist is faced with the harsh reality of the high cost of that which he so laboriously and painstakingly sought after. Listen as the author takes you on a historical journey to a time when men fought to the death for what they believed in, when executions were a public event, and jewels were traded for secrets!
Join us for a reading of The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers, and where you will be enchanted by the adventure, danger, and vengeance that these two tales depict. The Alexandre Dumas Collection is certainly worthy of its world-renowned status as historical fiction and "keep you on the edge of your seat" adventures.

Can't believe it's over :(
This is a marathon listen - I feel like this audiobook has been a friend and companion for a while. I'm going to miss Roberto Scarlato and his lovely voice. Both stories are very engaging, and I found myself getting caught up in them. If you like classic adventures, this is a great choice.

Nice version
I like the voice and the pace, but the reading of the French names are a bit awkward and funny, still best effort and good enough for me.

Classic stories to listen to
The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers are well-known stories by Dumas. It was a pleasure to listen to both stories being presented. The narrator did a great job of presenting the stories and not making them boring to listen to.

Wow, what a journey! This collection really transported me to another time. The way the stories explored themes of loyalty, revenge, and ultimately, redemption was so engaging. An Excellent Rendition
I would not presume to give Dumas anything less than a perfect rating, as his work has stood the test of time. Yes, by modern standards it's old-fashioned storytelling, but what else would you expect. So I'm rating this production, which is excellent.

I love dumas
I really enjoyed The Alexandre Dumas Collection, especially because it offers two iconic stories in one package. The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers are full of twists, strong characters, and thrilling adventures that kept me hooked for hours. Roberto Scarlato's narration really brought the stories to life, with a good pace and engaging tone that made the long runtime fly by.
That said, there were some moments where his pronunciation of French names and places felt off. For example, ennui was read a bit too casually, and some city names like Calais sounded strange. While it didn’t ruin the experience, it was a little distracting at times.

Timeless Adventures
I enjoy classic literature, so this audiobook collection was a great listen. It contains two of Alexandre Dumas’s works, The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers. They are both stories of adventure, betrayal, justice, and redemption.
The narrator does an excellent job of bringing the story to life in an entertaining and engaging way, whether you are revisiting these classics or you are listening to them for the first time.
It’s a lengthy listen, of course, but that’s part of the charm, as Dumas doesn’t rush. He builds a world full of intrigue, revenge, romance, and honor, and the audiobook does a great job of introducing you to this world and let you be entertained. Perfect for long commutes, road trips, or just curling up with a good story.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves historical adventure, unforgettable characters, and masterful storytelling.

79 Hours of Pure Literary Brilliance
I grabbed this collection thinking I’d chip away at it slowly… and ended up absolutely hooked. The Count of Monte Cristo was as intense and satisfying as I’d hoped, and The Three Musketeers? Just pure adventure and charm. The narration by Roberto Scarlato is excellent he really brings every character to life. Honestly, if you’ve ever wanted to say you’ve actually listened to these classics, this is the best way to do it. Totally worth every minute.
