Wyatt's life was not destined to be simple or peaceful. Raised as an orphan by an aunt, he never knew either his mother or his famous gunfighter father. It completes the account of his life from where the first book left off to his 78th year. In contrast to Radical Son which focused on his political odyssey, Mortality and Faith was conceived as a meditation on age and on our common progress toward an end which is both final and opaque.
