Baby steps and leaps and bounds are complimentary approaches that help people overcome challenges and accomplish goals by providing a balanced framework for progress. On the one hand, baby steps are important to focus on, because baby steps provide the groundwork for progress. Once this groundwork has been laid, leaps and bounds can occur.

Like a baby has to learn to crawl before she walks, as teenager, young person or adult, we must also understand that sometimes, we must take baby steps before we can take leaps and bounds. We must celebrate the baby steps along the way. We must accept, at times, that it’s the baby steps that we really need to focus on. Think about this: there is a lot to see, understand, find insight and motivation in these baby steps. Can you do this? Can you change your way of thinking? Can you accept the challenge of changing your approach? Let’s get back to some basics! I’m ready to do some crawling? Are you? I’m Jonah. I’m your person! Let’s get to it!

Holy crap! Life can be challenging with all the things that come our way! On the one hand, we have the demands from our jobs. We have the demands of school. We have the demands of home life, and relationships. All the while, trying to have a prosperous life, where we work toward accomplishing our goals or overcoming challenges…and heck, trying to have fun along the way!

The idea of ‘one bite at a time’ is often used to convey the idea of breaking down a large or daunting task into smaller, more manageable parts. Just as you eat a meal one bite at a time, you tackle a project or goal by focusing on individual steps or components, making the overall task less overwhelming and more achievable. It emphasizes the importance of patience, persistence, and taking consistent action towards a larger objective.

Are you hungry? I am! I’m Jonah. I’m your person. Let’s get to it!

Understanding the importance of strong decision-making is important for setting a course forward for your life and what you want. Whether it's in your career, relationships, or personal growth, the decisions you make can have a profound impact on your life.

Sometimes the choices we make and the decisions that come from those choices can save our lives, figuratively, emotionally, mentally and physically…and everything in between.

When you’re faced with adversity; when you want more, when you’re faced with so many decisions, when you have an uphill battle, what are you going to think? What are you going to do? How will you stay sharp? What will you choose? What will you decide? Will you crumble under pressure? Will you cave to the naysayers? Will you choose negativity?

    OR

Will you say…CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! I’ve got this. I want this. I will do this! My message to you is, you’ve got this! Okay? You’ve got this my friend!

  • What Do You Want?
    Feb 26 2024

As it pertains to goals and overcoming challenges, have you ever purposely asked yourself what you want out of life. What goals you want to achieve? How can you give back to society? And, if you did ask yourself this important question, did you write down a plan. What happened with your plan. Did you execute and achieve your goals (or tasks)? What did that feel like. Do you think you can implement that way of thinking with your next adventure or challenge?

Knowing what you want can be half the battle. So many of us think we know what we want. However, if we don’t do research, find out everything we need to know in order to put our best foot forward with the next step so we can realistically execute, we tend to just percolate or procrastinate; or stew or worse yet…nothing.

Why not challenge yourself and put on your calendar 30 minutes to an hour to use sit and write things down in a journal about what you want. Next, you’ll want to write down how you plan to execute these goals or overcome challenges. Easier said than done, I know. However, if you never write these things down, how do you really know what the next step is. In this episode of Challenge Accepted with Jonah C, we’ll examine the basics of mapping out a plan for life’s challenges or goals you’d like to obtain and how to get unstuck so you can execute on how we you get to the next step. If you’re ready to continue your journey, stick around to see if you can take some nuggets of knowledge away from the show to get you started on your journey or propel you forward with new information that can help with that. Are you ready?
