About this listen

Go from chaos to calm: clear the clutter in your mind and create a personal system that works for your unique brain.

The ADHD brain comes with some unique challenges, and until we recognize what they are, they will keep getting in our way. Starting new things, stopping others, concentrating, studying, getting stuff done, paying the bills, and getting on with life just seems so much harder for you than for others. That’s because it actually is, and it is time we faced up to this.

ADHD brains are not wrong, weak, or broken–just different. And because the world is set up for neurotypical people, those with ADHD struggle to fit in with these systems which are not matched to them or their needs at all. It’s like trying to run a PS4 game on an Xbox: It simply doesn’t work.

It’s time to let go of things that are simply not working for you and engage with a way of being that aligns better with your strengths, your needs, and who you really are.

In this supportive and inspirational audiobook, you will discover:

  • The simplest hacks for the most common ADHD stumbling blocks, with methods based on the latest research and neuroscience
  • How to see yourself in a better, more positive light and start rebuilding your self-worth and zest for life
  • Real-life stories, advice, and tips from women who have made their ADHD work for them and not against them
  • The basic must-knows for women with ADHD in dating, love, and friendship for better connections with those who matter
  • The secrets to improving your focus, time management, and other executive functioning skills
  • How to succeed at your job, studies, and in life in general using ADHD strategies that really work

A must-listen to get life in order

This audiobook is thoughtfully structured, covering a wide range of topics—from managing daily distractions to enhancing interpersonal relationships and regaining control over one's life. While I don't have ADHD myself, I decided to explore this audiobook to gain a better understanding of people who do. Chapter 6, titled 'ADHD in Love and Life,' was a genuine eye-opener for me, offering valuable insights that helped me comprehend my partner's perspective.

I've realized that I tend to assume a parental role when tasks go unfinished or due to our differing spending habits. The author explores ways to improve communication, set boundaries, and foster understanding, providing guidance for cultivating healthy connections, both personally and professionally.

From organizational tips to effective communication techniques, Henderson equips listeners with a toolkit that goes beyond theoretical advice. This hands-on approach makes the audiobook an invaluable resource for women seeking tangible solutions to navigate the challenges associated with ADHD.
