So much great information!
Donese Walker is a specialist in the areas of dyslexia and reading and is also a board-certified cognitive specialist. This audiobook narrates many (if not all) of the published articles Ms. Walker wrote while working within the Louisiana school system. Ms. Walker has written of too many topics even to list them all, and each of the narrated articles in this audiobook is written from the standpoint of educating people on the special needs of children. Clearly, Ms. Walker was exceptionally devoted to her career and was a champion for struggling children. I think this book was a brilliant way to collect and distribute all of Ms. Walker's writings. Very well done.

Informative bite sized articles
This compilation of articles on learning and brain health was easy to listen to and quite informative. Learning issues such as dyslexia and ADHD are so much more prevalent nowadays. These articles highlight these issues and provide helpful tips and strategies for parents to improve learning skills and brain health for their children. It was interesting to learn that a healthy diet including getting more magnesium in your diet and also enough water are simple things you can do to help the brain.
Going back to simple board games, vocabulary games, card games and using our imagination can help to train the brain. It seems that technology has just made us mindless consumers of information and we are not really exercising our brain to keep it healthy. Our children can definitely use less time on tech.
Having a positive and growth mindset and having gratitude for the things in life will also have a positive impact on brain health and learning.
All these tips and more are great alternatives to try rather than just relying on the medications that are prescribed to treat learning issues such as ADHD.

So MANY AMAZING tips
As this is a compilation, it's hard to pin point exactly who this helps but there is some much great advice about helping young people thrive through effective parenting, brain training and getting access to the right resources. I enjoyed learning about the how vital brain training is for all types of challenges from summer boredom to dyslexia. If you are a parent who needs advice on support your kids growth and development this collection is for you. Most of the resources are specific to Louisiana but they are still amazing. While the author does offer many faith-based strategies, they are effortlessly infused with science that even if you aren't a person of faith you will find amazing tips.
