Such a well narrated and captivating story. I listened to it on audible and took every chance to continue working through the chapters. The characters become well known as each chapter develops and it is thought provoking throughout. I have downloaded this authors second book and look forward to reading her future novels. I had to review this book because it exceeded all my expectations. Not just the powerful story which in itself was gripping in every sense of the word bit because of the exceptional quality of the narration. Several different narrators gave life to the characters and enhanced the story by the sheer sheer quality of their delivery. I would have missed so much if I had just opted to read this myself. As a debut novel, I cannot wait to see what Ruth Druart comes up with next.
