About this listen
Corin Cadence has been summoned to meet with the Emerald Council, a political summit including the most powerful of all attuned and their closest political allies.
His summons came with a dire warning—that war was coming to the nation of Valia. While Valia is no stranger to warfare, the circumstances of this invasion are dire.
Valia's visage, Tenjin, remains missing. Many of the nation's leaders were slain during Mizuchi's attack, and others killed or injured through Saffron's machinations. With a critical power vacuum in Valia's leadership, few can be trusted.
Surrounded by old enemies, tenuous allies, and strangers with their own agendas, Corin will need to leverage every skill he's learned to help salvage his nation's fate.
Includes a sneak peek—in both PDF and audio—of Edge of the Woods, book one of The Lost Edge series set within the Arcane Ascension universe and available now in ebook, print, and audio!
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Great and interesting scenes but the books feels like we are running in place for the first few hours.
Each book feels like Aandrew is just responding to pedantic reddit questions and 'ehm, actually'.
I also really don't luke the 30 minute 'preview, I paid for this book...
I ended up walking home in silence, angry that the book that was finally progressing the plot had ended.
Seriously, why does 4 times more stuff happen in the last 90 minutes than in the rest of the book.
Just... it's not bad, but with more aggressive editing could have been much better.
The crutch to, ' lets go have a talk in this room' narrative device was way too overused...
step into this room and talk with me: the book

Now I completely understand burnout and wanting to pursue other series, but this whole story is so concept heavy and it has so many characters that putting in on pause really hurts it. The wait was just too long to justify a book that doesn't really do much in the grand scheme of things. Now this is probably due to the audiobook taking a long time to be made aswell, since the written book was published in 2024. I may be being too critical, but I would prefer if books in this series were released with a shorter wait than 2 whole years.
