About this listen

Discover the skills you need to face change and uncertainty with confidence—and grow even stronger!

Change can happen so slowly that you might not even notice it. And sometimes, it can happen in an instant, causing your world to come crashing down. For many of us, change is scary, and as a result, we may try to avoid it, or even actively resist it. But while burying our heads in the sand can provide some short-term relief, our fear can grow and manifest itself in life-altering ways like stress, anxiety, or depression. The good news is that you can learn to transform how you respond to unwanted change.

In What Makes You Stronger, you'll learn to apply the authors' proven-effective DNA-v model (Discoverer, Noticer, Advisor, Value, and Vitality)—a potent blend of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and positive psychology to gain resilience in the face of change. Using this simple six-step process, you'll not only cope with change and adversity—but grow stronger from it! You'll discover strategies for managing uncertainty, breaking unhealthy behavior patterns, and reducing overwhelm when things start to feel out of control. If you're ready to stop running from change, and start living a life guided by your values, this powerful guide will be with you, every step of the way.

Great content, monotonous reading style, but I didn't give up though, thanks very much

Unbearable AI narration…

I was recently introduced to the amazing human Louise Hay so it’s fair to say that I’m officially her newest No.1 fan. So far I’ve listened to only 2 of her books and I’m hooked on the positivity! This book may be awesome in its content but unfortunately for me the AI narrator made it totally un-listenable. I’m not entirely sure it was written by Louise Hay because the author on the title spells her name as Louise L. Hayes.

I’m not sure yet if Louise narrates her own work, but whoever the narrator is has the type of phonetic tone that immediately encapsulates and engages me. It’s like I’m hearing from a wise relative, someone who has truly lived, learned and continues to grow.

I will keep searching for this title elsewhere, if not in audible the in a good old fashioned book. I’ll look forward to finding it!

If AI narratives don’t bother you like they do me then this audible book is a great find and I wholeheartedly recommend it for the content alone.

Unfortunately it didn’t work for me, and I say that with love and respect. ✌️

couldn't listen

I'm sure the content would have been interesting, but I can't listen to that computer voice, monotone robot reading it so I've given it up!
