Summary
James and Aidan didn’t need fate. They had each other.
Alpha James and Beta Aiden love each other and don’t care what fate has to say about that. Mating doesn’t need to be based on pheromones and scents. And kids? There were many ways to build a family.
When fate comes knocking years later, James does what any wolf in his situation would—he runs away. He has a mate he loves more than anything, and they’re just about to get everything they want: a family. He can’t risk losing everything because fate decided to be a butt.
Omega Riley scented his fated mate once months earlier, and the wolf ran away. He is coming to terms with his singledom. Everything is going as well as it can, that is, until his fated mate’s children walk into his classroom.
We Choose You is book one in the sweet with knotty heat MM shifter mpreg romance series: Choice vs. Fate. It features an alpha wolf shifter who mated his beta best friend, the omega sent by fate, true love, twins who will steal your heart, adorable babies, and a guaranteed happy ever after.

Very enjoyable short story
I really enjoyed this sweet short story of an alpha-beta pairing who make room in their lives for the omega they are both attracted to (and the alpha is fated too). The mixture of fated and chosen mates is unique and refreshing. I appreciated that Alpha James wasn't compelled by fate to drop his Beta husband Aiden. He had a choice. I loved Aiden the most. He was so brave to make the choice he did. How many would risk losing everything to give their alpha the choice he did? Wonderful story, low angst, and a perfect ending. I look forward to more in this series.
The narrator was new to me, and I thought he did a great job providing distinct voices for the characters, and infusing the story with heart and emotion.
I received a free copy of the audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Love it
Katy Manz created a short and sweet masterpiece that makes you love the characters. Interesting story and loveable characters that you can just feel. Lance West did a super job bringing the characters to life.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Cute story
I’m still struggling with the rules of the omegaverse. That being said, Alphas and Betas can’t have pups but they can fall in love. They’re just not likely to be fated mates. James and Aiden have been together forever. What they have transcends fated mates. They love each other. Now they’re ready to start a family. And found family is as good as any other, right?
As a child who was adopted, I have a big love of any book that shows the kind of love between parents and their adopted children.
There’s a catch – Riley is James’s fated mate. The omega and the alpha are destined to be together. So where does that leave Aiden? And will Riley always feel like the outsider?
This is a cute story with some real emotion and I enjoyed it. I especially adored Jimmy and April.
Lance West did well narrating the story and I’ll definitely pick up more by this author should they come up.

We Choose You is a very sweet novella with great narration.
I'm not sure if I've listened to anything from this narrator before but I enjoyed their storytelling. The tone used was warm and added pleasant inflections on some sentences. It made for easy listening.
The story moved along quickly, in reality it probably could have been just as good at twice the length, but I went into it knowing if was short and appreciated it for what it was.
The throuple dynamic was done well, with clear communication between them all. A longer story would have added more of that, and more steam, but what there was worked.
I hope there are more visits planned to the world built here.

Love the audiobook even more than the ebook!
I really enjoyed this book when I read it with my eyes earlier this month but the audiobook made me love it. As far as I know, I’ve never listened to an audiobook performed by Lance West and I thought he did a great job. I did need to increase the playback speed a bit but that might be as much due to the fact that I listen to a lot of audiobooks and have just generally increased my listening speed.
Everything else that I said about the ebook when I reviewed it still applies so I’ve pasted a copy of that review below.
I don’t know for sure if Katy Manz is a new author or not but she only has this book and the next in the series available on Amazon and Goodreads. If this is her first published book it’s pretty good for a new author. It’s also fairly short but I like short books so that wasn’t a problem for me. I think she did a decent job of telling a pretty complete story in only 22,000 words.
James and Aidan have been together a long time when fate presents James with his fated mate, Riley. The blurb actually tells the whole story in a nutshell so I don’t see any point in me restating it in my own words. The book has a satisfying HEA and we meet the MC of the next book in the series.
I found this story to be very touching and super sexy; I enjoyed reading it and plan to continue on with the series.
A copy of this book was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

Short and Sweet
We Choose You is a short novella about fate and free will set within an omegaverse world. James and Aiden are an established Alpha and Beta couple. They aren’t fated but they are deeply in love. Everything gets turned upside down when Riley, James’ fated omega mate, enters the picture. The pacing of the book is fast, and due to the breadth of the plot, the novella doesn’t really get the chance to explore any character or theme in depth. But that’s okay because it’s an entertaining, feel good read that’s perfect for a quick shot of fluff and pleasure. The ending is happy and the family dynamics are sweet.
The audiobook was narrated by Lance West who does a great job. The voices were consistent and it was easy to follow along. The audiobook production was done well.

Wonderful fated mates romance
This is a good story to start this new series. I enjoyed the established couple, James and Aiden, who then face a dilemma when James fated omega mate turns up in their lives. It's difficult as James and Aiden are Alpha and Beta, not fated but chose to be together and have been for many years but every alpha supposedly has a fated omega mate.
Aiden running away actually made me smile as it's the opposite of what we'd think of as alpha behaviour. One of my favourite things about this book is that family comes first and so James knows that this won't just affect him but his chosen mate, Aiden, as well as their two recently adopted children. Riley deals with everything so well, especially the shock of when he sees James again and realises the situation. Together they have a really special bond that they take the time to develop and make sure it's right for all of them, especially with the children being involved, who are totally adorable!
This is a quick listen but it's a heartwarming story with the slow building of the relationship. I enjoyed all of the characters and the romance.
Lance West does a wonderful job narrating the three MC's. Their personalities comes through and I felt the emotions that the characters were experiencing throughout.

We Choose You
I wish it were longer—a good novella and start to the series. I felt emotions and connections. I liked the characters and world. I'll continue to the next book. Lance West did a great job with the narration.

Easy listening
An easy listening, low angst, A/B/O MPreg story. About mates that fate decides and the mates the characters choose. This is a new to me author, I rather enjoyed, one that I wait in anticipation for more from them and this series. My only real complaint and really it’s not much of one I just wished it was longer. Overall this is a sweet cute story with heat and some of the best communication between the main characters. Well worth listening to.

A quick enjoyable listen
I liked how We Choose You had a bit of a different twist to usual A/b/o and fated mates reads in that there was an established Alpha and beta couple who chose each other despite the fact that being Alpha and beta they weren’t fated. The whole dilemma of what to do when Alpha James meets his fated mate Omega Riley was what intrigued me, when he had already chosen Beta Aiden.
Overall this was a fun and enjoyable listen. It was quick enough that I could listen while at work in the afternoon. I do think it could have done with being longer - mostly because after the whole what will we do after James first met Riley and then he and Aiden met him again, things moved pretty fast. Now in fated mates books that standard, however the addition of the 2 adorable twins that Aiden and James had adopted I think made there be a bit more of a need for things to have slowed down just a tad. But it was enjoyable enough that I’ll be picking up book 2 when it comes out.
The narration was really good - a first time listen to this narrator I think, and I’d definitely listen to them again. Nice distinct voices of the characters and no weird breathing or intonations etc. that sometimes puts me off narrators.
