This is one of those stories that grabs you with the first sentence and does not let you go. if you want humor with a side of extra terrestrial and tentacles with amazing characters, this is the story for you. You will laugh so hard at times and simply be amazed by the abilities of Chloe Archer to create a world like this. I can't even tell you which one of the characters is my favorite since all through the book, I'm going "Oh! You're my favorite now!". Just ignore the weird looks you will get from other people when you crack up.

Greg Boudreaux does the best job at bringing every one to life in this story. His ability to do this without snort laughing is beyond anything.

I had the opportunity to try a new audiobook and so I grabbed this one. I’ll be honest – I didn’t have high expectations. Tentacle porn? Yeah…it’s a thing…

OMG, this book was all that and more. I fell in love with the characters, followed along the convoluted plot, and bought into the whole world building.

In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope the next one comes out on audio soon.

Quick shout out to Greg Boudreaux. He’s so fantastic with younger twinky guys as well as older deeper more mature men. He just hit every note for me and he’s got perfect comedic timing. You need to grab this one because it’s just…fantastic.

If like me you read and listen to a lot of dark books you’ll need something light that’ll make you laugh then this is the book or you . Chloe Archer is new to me and I don’t usually listen to PNR much but the blurb made me want to listen and I giggled most the way through it and I full on belly laughed at the teletubby reference. It ends in a minor cliff hanger and it just made me want to start book 2 immediately I can’t wait to see how everyone deals with the news that was just revealed .

This book was incredibly funny and I read it in one go, with exception of finding the author on social media to follow her because I'm gonna read all her books...

The book has perfect grumpy vs sunshine and if you want concencual tentacles this is it.

Perfect narrator too! At times it sounds like it’s more than one narrator.

This is my first book by Chloe Archer and I loved it. It's also my first book with tentacles. I was just a little nervous about reading a tentacle book but this one was really great and tasteful, if that makes sense. The story is witty and held my attention from start to finish. There is a bit of a cliffhanger so I really hope the next book comes out in audio very soon.

Greg Boudreaux did an amazing job performing this story. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed it quite as much if I'd read it with my eyes but he made the listening experience amazing!

This books is hilarious, it's a comfort listen for me, never fails to make me smile.

Starting off wasn't quite sure but as the story went on it became entertaining I listened all the way through. I'm glad I did really enjoyed it. Narrator was spot on.

Greg Boudreaux narrates.

And I have to say, he totally nails it! He nails River, especially when he gets excited, and his mouth runs away with itself!

He nails Kai, and how he starts to feel about River, and what his tentacles are doing.

Oh you know what, he NAILS every single person, human or alien, here and I freaking loved the narration! Had I listened before I read, I would given it 5 stars across the board. So now, I'm-a gonna wait for the second book in audio and NOT read it. Because if Boudreaux narrates again, to this level?? Gonna be amazing!

So, here's the thing. I'm a recent convert to what my sister refers to as "alien porn" (both MM and MF) and this one really hits a whole gammut of spots that I really don't usually like!

I mean, I'm not a fan of romantic comedy books, something about them really doesn't quite work for me but HERE?? I loved River and everything about him! He's so eager and poor Kai was not ready for River in any shape or form. It meant for some very VERY amusing moments between the two of them. I rarely react vebally when reading but I did here, a lot!

Once River sets his heart on Kai, the poor guy didn't stand a chance. But once KAI gets his head on straight and he sees River, really SEES him, Kai also is a bit of a force to be reckoned with.

The book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger. There is MUCH we still need to know about River and who he is and where he comes from and I'm hoping that we'll get more, if not all, in the next book. There is also the small but clearly powerful matter of Kai's brother, Mal and River's Uncle Benji. Evan, River's best friend, also needs a book, maybe even Chewy too!

AND! What I loved best about this book is this: it's the author's FIRST book! So, now I've gotten Ms Archer on my radar, I can watch as she hones her craft and tells all the yummie storie about this group of people!

I was cracking up from beginning to end. I adored River and Kai was sweet - loved his tentacle dance moves.
