Summary
Nothing says "welcome to your dream university" like dead bodies and a warning to stay in my lane.
It’s almost impossible to get into Winter Grove University, so when I’m accepted on scholarship, I know my life will change for the better. Or will it?
When an alpha starts harassing me to join his pack, I’m left with no choice but to tell him I belong to another. The thing is, I name-drop the richest, most notorious pack on campus.
Dorian, Foster, and August aren’t happy when they find out, and the tension between us grows. These vile boys know how to hold a grudge, but when I’m forced to spend time with them, I can’t stop the connection that’s growing between us.
With a killer closer than we thought, will I lose everything I’ve ever wanted, or will I become the omega I never thought I could be?
Vile Boys is the first book in the Knot Their Toy duet and includes omegaverse, M/M, poly, and bullying.

Audiobook obsession reviewer, flock reviewer
Oh my this is one of those books that didn’t grab me in the first chapter, but by the end of the second chapter I was trapped and loving every second of this book. It’s got an entertaining and brilliant storyline that picks up well and has a fantastic amount of heat.

Darkish Omegaverse Academy
I loved how this was light on the bully aspect though humiliation during spicy times isn't my k!nk😆 Mercy is a sweet and sassy heroine who can't figure out Dorian & his pack! I loved it and can't wait for book 2!!
Everyone in the situationship doesn't know how to react or admit to their feelings! I felt we were given the surface of each character & I wanted more❤️
Allyson had Mercy’s voice down!! She was pleasant to listen to at 1.75x, which is faster than usual for me!! Her male voices were hit & miss, but otherwise, I will still listen to her in the future! PFP🦩 FLOCKVIP🦩

My Thoughts on Vile Boys
4.5 of 5 stars
This was a whole different kind of story for me, and I loved it. It was omegaverse and bully and enemies to lovers and m/m but also m/f/m/m and a murder mystery and I just didn’t want it to ever stop. I was so shocked by who the killer was, and I was actually really happy about that. Maybe other listeners saw it coming a mile away, but I didn’t, so I got to have that moment of surprise as well as suspense wondering who was committing the murders the whole time. The narration was really good, and I thought Allyson Voller was a really good choice to voice the main character of Mercy. I did however feel that when it came to the three leading men, she didn’t always give the best variation and sometimes I wished she’d given their tones a little more bass/baritone/etc. It wasn’t enough to have me dislike the story or the overall performance though. And I cannot wait for book two.

Great storyline
This book was great. I enjoyed the dynamic of this relationship, with so many people in it there’s so many possibilities. A brilliant performance.

Dark Omegaverse Academy Romance
Vile Boys by AJ Merlin is a dark omegaverse academy romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Allyson Voller. This is the first book in Knot Their Toy duet.
I love AJ's books! I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mercy, Dorian, August, and Foster.
I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio and I was not disappointed. Allyson did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like omegaverse romances, MM romances, poly romances, dark romances, or bully romances.

Good Listen
Mercy is finally at the school she wants to go to and everyone knows she is the scholarship kid. Now she has made some enemies and must suffer their wrath or give in to what they want in order to complete the semester unharmed. She finally gives in but she will fight the rules as much as she can. What she does not know is that there is someone else on campus that has deadly intentions. The closer they get the more dangerous it becomes.

pleasantly surprised
I think I’ve found the kind of omegaverse I like. When the lust isn’t too intense at the start, kind of a slowburn but still filled with sexual tension. When they go into a lust filled haze at the barest hint of the fmc’s sent, I think that part isn’t for me. But luckily, this didn’t have that so I was pleasantly, pleasantly surprised!
At first I wasn’t sure if this book was for me. I wasn’t as engaged in some parts and I wasn’t sucked into the story. However, I can honestly say I ended up enjoying it, and the pacing grew very very engaging from I’d say 25% into the story.
Overall, this was a solid read. Some aspects I couldn’t connect with, but I was definitely eager to read more. And, when the book finished I found myself wanting book two. So I’d say in a nutshell, this was a pleasant surprise. 💗

Bully
This book has the dark bully themes in it. You get just how twisted people can get, but there are some limits to it as well. It’s nice to see the MC has a disability as that isn’t always a MC theme. I wanted to listen and find out what happens next. It leaves it open for more and I would love to listen to a book 2!!

Vile & Hot
This was an intense start to what I am thinking is going to be an epic story.
Mercy might be new, but her life isn’t the only one that’s going to get turned upside down, it just might be that they’ll all enjoy it much more than they thought.
