This is the second book in Goddess Isles.

Dark & Twisted Brilliance🎧📚🎧 Awesome Narration!
Pepper Winters continues to blow me away with her “Goddess Isle” series. It is a dark and twisted story and I am loving every moment of it. This book picks up right where the first book, “Once a Myth” left off, if you have not read or listened to that yet stop right here and get that book pronto, it is a must read/listen. Eleanor survived her first full experience in Euphoria, as did Sully, he has been struggling with what Eleanor does to him, she makes him feel and want things he should not have. Eleanor reads him like no one ever could, it surprises Sully but he continues to fight what he is feeling and continues to push her away. But as Eleanor learns more about him the more she understands and she starts to push back. I loved learning more about Sully Sinclair, is he a genius or a madman or maybe he walks the line between both, either way he has some deep and serious trust issues. At times I think he is at war with his inner demons, a very personal psychological warfare. It broke my heart to learn his troubling past and what he went thru as a child. It gives an excellent insight why he does the things he does. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt moments, some thrilling and suspenseful moments, some hot kink and a very twisted very screwed up possible love story. Pepper Winters, thank you for this amazing story, I am looking forward to what comes next for Sully and his jinx!
Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider are talented narrators and voice artists. They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is exceptional, they truly grasped who they are as they humanize, allowing you to hear their emotions in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen🎧

Twice a Wish
Twice a Wish is a continuation of Eleanor and Sully's story and is just as good as Once a Myth. Sully has his faults for sure but I love the way he is so caring and compassionate about animals.
I love all the sexual tension between Sully and Eleanor. They can deny it all they want, but their chemistry is off the charts. There is so much going on in this book. OMG! That cliffhanger is so intense. I can't wait to see how Sully and Eleanor are going to handle this predicament they have found themselves in. Run, Eleanor, run!
Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider have brought out all the emotions of these characters in their duet narration.

AMAZING
This series just keep getting more intense, seriously I couldn't stop listening, it's so enthralling and captivating that I wasn't able to put it down.
Sully and Jinx chemistry is off the charts and explosive, even though they try to fight this pull between them.
There are many things happening and I can't wait to see what's happening next.
The writing is perfect, all the scenes the descriptions just so vivid that it actually makes you believe there is such place as the Goddess Islands.
The narration was amazingly perfect, I love the great duet that are Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider, their voices can make you feel everything that's going on, all the emotions are so tangible with their amazing performance.

Ohhhhhh, the FEELS!!!
Pepper Winters continues on with her Goddess Isles series. We really get to know Sully and Eleanor during the second book while they also get to know each other as well. Sully is fully aware of the ties Eleanor has wrapped around his heart and wants to loosen them. It's fascinating how much h I dispised Sully in the first book. However, he really starts to win you over in this book. Eleanor is holding onto her strength. She sees what she does to Sully and tries to play it. Lord this story sneaks up on you and just hooks right into you!! It might be messed up. It might be dark. But it's great!!
I love that the narrators were the same from the first book. Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider bring these two characters to life! Puckett was fabulous! I loved that she didn't make Eleanor sound weak. She might have been in a difficult situation but she had a steel spine and Puckett really gave her strength. It's hard to find that line between that girl that has been taken and is scared to the strength she shows. Sarah Pucket brought her to life. I really enjoyed Rider's deep voice. Sully is a no-nonsense voice that edges on cruel while still sounding sexy.

Chemistry is on fire but not much going on outside of that...
I like this book but I don't love it like other Pepper Winters series such as Dollars. Eleanor and Sully continue their relationship dancing between dislike and desire. Their perfervid expression of lust is palpable throughout the book. You learn more about Sully's background and childhood some of which aligns with Eleanor's beliefs particularly regarding animal cruelty and vegetarianism. Not much happens other than that which makes it feel stretched out. I will read the next book because I like the chemistry but more sub plots required to elevate this series.
