About this listen
From USA Today best-selling author Rina Kent comes a new dark mafia romance.
I’m out for revenge. He’s out to rule the world.
Kirill and I are as different as day and night. We shouldn’t have been in the same frame or universe.
But we meet under the strangest circumstances.
He’s my superior in the military and the man who’ll introduce me to carnage.
His charm and exterior perfection shouldn’t have tempted me.
Behind the smokescreen lurks a manipulative emotionless monster.
And that monster might find out all my secrets, including the reason why I’m pretending to be a man.
He might also lure me to the point of no return.
This book is part of a trilogy and can't be listened to on its own.

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Intense!
Rina Kent blows me away with an amazing start to her “Monster” trilogy, a new dark mafia romance. The story grabbed my attention immediately and held it hostage the entire book. Sasha was sixteen when her family was brutally murdered and she was making it her life's mission to avenge their death. Following leads and her uncle’s help and recommendations, she joins the military posing as a man and is hoping to find out who ordered that hit on her family. It hadn’t been easy for her and when her Captain saved her from some Russian brutes in her unit, he winds up taking her under his wing to train. No one could say that Kirill is a nice guy, he is cold, hard and calculating, but he needs to be that to survive in his world. He was also on to Sasha, but kept it to himself because she intrigued him and wanted to know what she was up to and what her deal was. When she recognizes someone from her past and it turns out to be Kirill’s father, she puts two and two together and she needs to stay close to Kirill. Seems like these two believe in keeping their enemies closer, or at least keeping an eye on them, just in case. A botched mission winds up bringing them closer together and when he is summoned to return to New York, he asks for volunteers and takes his best men with him. Sasha wanted to join them too, and he was on board with that. Kirill is next in line to takeover his father’s reign, and his father did not want his brother to do, but that does not stop family members from attempting a power play. Kirill is a smart and cunning man and expected this and had his power plays planned. There is never a dull moment in this book, it is a well-written and cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, action, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Rina Kent, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. And wow, what an ending, a real heart pounder, I am looking forward to what happens next for Kirill and Sasha.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration. Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels were the perfect cast to bring these characters, and they outdid themselves with their portrayal of them. Their character voices and performances were top-notch, as was the quality of the audio. York’s take on Kirill was perfection, grasping all sides of his personality, his dominating alphatude and his intensity. Daniels’ did the same for Sasha, grasping all sides of her personality too, including her strength and determination, as well as her inquisitive ways, and her deepening her female voice could not have been an effortless task but she nailed it. They set the perfect tone for the story and captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

I loved how I even enjoyed the side characters within the book as well as the main characters and love the friendships that have started to be formed within the trilogy. Rina Kent delivers again!
This book had me at Mulan re-imagining! Mulan is one of my favourite stories of all time. So when I saw this book marketed as a dark mafia romance with a Mulan-type storyline, I HAD to pick it up. AND let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
This book had such a great balance between a good, intriguing plotline that hooks you in instantly and an amazing romance. I MEAN Rina Kent NEVER fails to deliver on the best protective, possessive, obsessive, alphahole male MCs. Not to mention that Kirill is not only all those things, but he also wears glasses 🥵 I didn't know I needed that in my life but Miss Rina Kent proved to me that I did!
I devoured this book in two sittings. Kirill and Sasha were everything. The chemistry between them was palpable and the spice was HOT 🔥 I also absolutely loved how badass and brave Sasha is throughout the whole book. I love a strong FMC and she definitely proved herself to be just that.
That ending has me reeling and I NEED book 2!!!
Also, the narrators did an amazing job voicing the characters. Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels worked so well together to give Kirill and Sasha their voice and I really enjoyed listening to this story by audiobook. Narrators make or break an audiobook and these two did a fantastic job!

Run, Don’t Walk to This Book!!
Blood of my Monster was dark mafia decadence! Another Rina Kent book that had me riveted. This woman’s words are like sweetest dessert that I cannot help but devour. The mystery, secret identity, the holy hot damn kindle melting spice. Sasha and Kirill’s story will have you desperately hanging to every single word from beginning to the jaw dropping cliffhanger!
Oh my word the narration…Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels were flawless. The absolute perfect Sasha and Kirill. These two elevated the story to even higher and more delicious heights!

Perfect voices
First book in the trilogy was at perfect pace, the emotion, the slow burn, taking into consideration the story. Rina Kent and slow burn, perfect for this book! And the voices, I mean I listen to anything from Sebastian York and he delivered here perfectly, amazing Russian accent👌🏻. New to Brooke Daniels and her interpretation of the female voices was perfect. Both as duet delivered the story perfectly👌🏻… now the cliffhanger phew

Chemistry is off the charts
Rina Kent is the reason for the season! She is the queen of keeping you on the edge and feeding your mind with twists, suspense, tension and love. And in Blood of My Monster it is no different.
Blood of My Monster is a mix of mafia, suspense and a modern Mulan retelling.
Reread this as an audiobook. It's a duet narration between Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels. Absolutely loved it.
The suspense and chemistry between the MCs is so good.
Kirill and Sasha own me.
𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬. 𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝... 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭.
I highly recommend you clear your schedule before starting this book. You will not be able to put it down! And THAT cliffhanger.

Amazing!
It’s Kirill and Sasha story and I freaking loved it!
I devoured this audiobook in one sitting. I turned it on and got so lost in the story that I didn't realise hours had passed when it ended... But that's normal when it comes to Rina Kents' books.. her words just pull me in and I lose myself in the story! I absolutely loved these two so much! Their story, the twists and turns along the way and how the author pieced it all together was perfection! I think they'd become my favourite couple written by this author!
This book was intense, addictive, all-consuming and such an excellent listen!
5 STARS!

Mulan meets Anastasia
This was an interesting take on a Mulan retelling and I felt like it had a dash of Anastasia in it too considering the Russian heritage of the main characters and the murder of Sasha’s family. The storyline did drag a little so I’m interested to see what exactly happens in the following two books.
What we learn in the first book is that Kirill is a Captain in the army that Sasha is part of whilst pretending to be a man which will all become clearer as you read/listen on. Both characters are hiding many secrets from one another and must let their guard down to uncover certain truths. The cliffhanger was done well and I already need the second book! The narration was great, the accents were done well and I enjoyed the duet style.

Wow
This story will take you on a journey! With each turn, you'll wonder where it's going next, and then the end will have you cursing. I ended this one needing to know more and will be reading the next two books as soon as I get the chance because I have to know what happens to these two!
The narrators for the audiobook did a phenomenal job, and with it being a duet it really brought the story to life. I wish all audiobooks could be recorded this way for that reason!
