A mine of invaluable information is contained in this audiobook. Make sure you are armed with a copy before you set off on your next Fighting Fantasy adventure!
Since its first appearance on the Earthly plane in 1982, with the publication of Steve Jackson’s and Ian Livingstone’s famous The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, the world of Titan has gradually become explored and better known. While there remain uncharted regions, waiting to be opened up by brave adventurers, book after book of the series has revealed ever more of this fantasy world.
Here for the first time in a single audio volume is all you ever wanted to know about Titan. Not only are the three continents described and mapped, but the underwater kingdoms, too, are discussed. The chief races and personalities of Titan - your allies as well as your enemies - have whole sections devoted to them. Here you can learn of their history and their gods, their likes and dislikes, their cities and villages.
Did you know Logaan, the Trickster god, first created man? How familiar are you with the legend of the Dwarf hero Hangahar Goldseeker? What should you do if offered a flagon of Orcale? All this information and much, much more is to be found within this audiobook.
Step into the incredible world of Titan...and remember...you are the hero!
About the authors - Surprisingly little has been written about the creators of Titan. The ancient scripts reveal that Steve Jackson was born on Earth in May 1951, and (now Sir) Ian Livingstone was born on Earth in December 1949. They met in 1968 at school and then re-joined forces in 1975 to build their first empire of fantasy, Games Workshop. In 1977, they began to make Citadel Miniatures to show humans what creatures existed in another time. In 1981, they wrote their first adventure book, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, which was published in 1982. It was the first of the global publishing sensation known as Fighting Fantasy. They have gone on to write and create a phenomenal amount of fantasy worlds and adventures, expanding their empire and working across numerous creative industries, including gaming. Fighting Fantasy continues to be extremely popular around the world, allowing listeners to become the hero of their own adventures.
Marc Gascoigne was the editor of Warlock magazine, and co-author of the best selling Judge Dredd RPG.
