Mary has an excellent talent for narrating in the voices of the Cast, I could hear them through her words. Nice overview of Critical Role, which brings back memories of watching episodes years ago.

Enjoyable narration

Started listening to it to feel closer to a friend of mine who loved D&D. Never listened to the sessions before, so the amount of names was confusing at first, but the book is so well written that I got very into it. Gives you the essence of their games and community. Perhaps some things were a bit of a spoiler, but I am moving on to listening to their games anyway!

Mary Elizabeth did a wonderful job reading this. a couple of strange pronunciations sometimes (I swear thats not how you say Cadeusus), and a couple of errors (Percy and Vax got married?) but all in all her performance was 100% all the way through.

The book itself was full of wonderful information about both campaigns and even a long time fan like me learned so much. It was a wonderful companion for the long car journeys I had to make recently. Deffo recommended.

Lots of new trivia to learn and a great listen!

good book about CR, just a little annoying, that Mary can't pronounce most of the names of people and city's especially the names of VM and M9 but good book otherwise 🙂👍

good story weird pronunciation of names

fab listen , only thing is would have liked to have heard the actual cast saying their bits with it being the audio book , but apart from that was interesting look into the world of critical role and was nice to hear where all the cast came from .

fab listen

if you're a fan of CR, you'll love this. if you're not (yet) and you're aware of them, then I think you'll enjoy their positive look on life and the community thatbhas built up around them

loved it

From cover to cover I’ve adored listening to this book, I’ve laughed, cried, and I’ve learnt things I didn’t know before about the cast and people I have loved watching for years and honestly I’m happy with that.

Don’t forget to love each other.

I liked the chapters and the mix of examples from campaign 1 and 2. The handling of spoilers are excellent and leaves you able to enjoy the show even after listening to this

( there is glimpses and highlights of major and minor events that is peak D&D, also this is encouraging to listen to if you are afraid of DM- img or playing a character in a game of D&D, basically you have to prepare, fail, try again and just get into it, and let your character evolve, care for other people and make the best of it. It can be great for socially anxious people to learn to play or people, especially kids with different diagnoses, like Asbergers. A good DM can turn the game into a safe place to learn problem solving and working together without real life consequences)

the focus is on the people behind and the heart and soul of critical role. Great chemistry and generosity between cast and community while revealing the order of which shows stems from the main show, how they started.

I would recommend this for new and already existing fans of the show.

Great intro and refresher,
