This was another great listen in the series of DC Jessica Daniel crime novels. Held my attention throughout and really well paced.

Kerry Wilkinson has a vivid imagination. Her stories are intricate and complex. I enjoy them so much I am wading my way through all of them although it will take some time. I have bonded with the main characters who are likeable. I feel a lot of research was done on this book and it shows. Am excellent read

I can't quote work out what I think about the Jessica Daniel series. I've listened to three now and I find the main character rather irritating, too sarcastic and someone not many people would want to work with. This is partly due to the way the narrator portrays her I think though.( Becky Hindley isn't the best choice of narrator for this reason) . The plotlines are very good but a DS would never be given the amount of responsibility that DS Daniel appears to enjoy, it just isn't credible, she's bed to be at least a DI.

good story kept me listening into the small hours. Annoyed by Jess's rudeness to everybody. Got rather tired of narrator's unchanging voice in dialogue.
