over the last few months I have listen to the complete set of books from this series and I can not praise them enough

The Dwarves are so well captivated, it immersed me deep into their world. Loved every moment and chapter. I loved this book and series.

I was hoping our dwarven adventures hadn't finished but I feel like books 3 or 4 would have been good stopping points.

The story started out with a focus on elves to start which on reflection 20 hours later paid little setup. The general story was more chaotic than in previous books, and it did take some getting used to in a change in voice performers. Ideally more differing or unique character voices would be good. rather than 30 normal dwarves and one Irish fourthling.

I feel it was too late to be adding in dragon lavae and I'm still somewhat confused with some areas.

Time also seems to be a varying concept, gone is the 100+day travel through girdleguard.

Tungdil in this book is more of an enigma than the one in the 4th book, also is there to be more clarity on the cloning or is this to be ignored. At what point does the dwarf split as it sounded in book 4 like he was working for fake Vracas from early on. Presumably it was before this but seems strange not to encounter a similar named dwarf in over 250 years.

Any news on the area near the black abyss or are the acronta there all dead?

How's Goda, does she and the kids ever care to see papa? How does she feel to be proven right about different Tungdils?

Also what element of numbers are left? Feel like matching an army of dwarves slaughtered to the brink time and again, only to try and fight 100,000 is asking a bit much.

The enemy keep spawning but the orc presence was sorely missed.

Apologies to rant but there's a significant amount of content before delving into the Oatlands and other areas but just feels steamroller of ideas which were different but bundled together. Hoping for more of the classic in the next installment.
