When a book gets you laughing and annoyed at a character and wanting to keep on its a successful book. The character of smoke and Sydney make you laugh, the annoying Kane makes your blood boil and the other quirky characters add to the delightful mix. Asia is a favourite a food hungry attitude, thank you for getting me through a firebreak and a vat return.

Morning glory, a really fun book to listen to. Sid and Smoke battle evil with a good helping of pancakes and milkshakes. Each book is action packed, with lots of guns, swords and fast cars and Craig Halloran created variety of truly monstrous villains. The characters of Sid and Smoke are strong and engaging from the start but develop through the story arc as their romance evolves. Craig balanced the main story and the fight against evil with the romance in the book so it didn’t get sappy. I liked the way the first few books were from Sid’s POV then the books switch to Smoke’s POV then a combination of the two. It gave the story more depth and interest. I would say it’s a grown up story but PG rated.

The reason I am writing a review is that Holly Adams performance was excellent. Her acting skills brought each character to life creating unique and distinctive voices. She really pulled off the vocalisation of male and female voices and having listened to many audible books, I would rate her performance up there with those books with a cast of actors. I shall certainly be checking out other audible narrations by Holly.

Principally I'm more of a Sci-Fi fan but I'm pleased that got into this book.
No matter what most pre-ambles say, books often turn out a tad different.
The story line was a great rollercoaster, there were no hollow characters and I was disappointed that it had to have an ending.
The added bonus is that it's just one Credit for a lot of excellent entertainment.

This was a great story, narrative was very good. not sure about the weapon and helicopter impressions though. it didnt ever get boring and i would recommend that you listen to this audio option

I really enjoyed listening to this series. There are a lot of plot improbabilities and it's never going to be a 'classic'. The characters are engaging, the pace is fast but it's a bit like watching an entertaining tv series that's guaranteed to please but will never fully stretch the mind. The character dynamics are fairly standard with a female protagonist who likes to stick to the rules, plan and keep her life under control falling for a male protagonist who is spontaneous, impulsive and breaks the rules without remorse or compunction. The good guys are 'good' and the bad guys are 'bad' and there are no big surprises.

It you want something light, entertaining and engaging then this is an excellent buy.
