Summary

Nicholas Flamel appeared in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter - but did you know he really lived? And his secrets aren't safe! Discover the truth in book three of the New York Times best-selling series the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.

The problem: Perenelle Flamel is trapped. What’s worse: Sophie and Josh might soon be as well.

Paris was destroyed by John Dee and Niccolo Machiavelli, but the missing pages of the Book of Abraham the Mage are still protected from Dee and the Dark Elders.

Except Perenelle is imprisoned on Alcatraz and now Scatty is missing, leaving a weakening Nicholas as Sophie and Josh's only protection in Lond, a city Dee has under his control.

The only hope of defeating Dee and escaping London is to find an Elder to teach the twins the third elemental magic - Water Magic. The bad news? The lone option is Gilgamesh the King, and he is absolutely insane.

Very good buts slowly drops away

(Contains spoilers)

It was very good to start with, drawing you in and displaying a knowledge of myth and imagination but further in in the series drops away as they repeat some things. Liked how josh switches sides in the sorceress

Great listen

Im loving the characters more and more, the story just pulling me along, never getting boring.
But it is a shame that this is the third narrator to as many books

Third in the series, tiring.

I'm well into this book and frankly beginning to tire off the constant name - dropping of famous people who are unbelievably immortal, and the inclusion of every mythological creature you've ever heard of, and some you probably have not. The storyline seems to have stagnated and although I really enjoyed the first two books, now it is beginning to pall. The narrator is excellent, no complaints there! I'm unlikely to buy more in this series.
