Summary
Cutler Ryder was everything I wasn’t.
He was the hockey star. I was an outcast. He was best friends with my stepbrother, that same stepbrother who hated me. His two parents loved him. My mom was a junkie. My dad barely knew me.
Years passed. I got my life together. Cut went onto NHL stardom. Then there was a text.
I was drinking. There was a party. Cut was there....
I loved Cutler Ryder since the first moment I saw him.
The only problem? He never knew I existed.

Better than Ryan's bed & definitely funnier
This book made cry, made laugh, and fall in love. I think my favourite relationship is between Cheyenne and her brother, even though it was limited to emailing each other, you could feel their love for each other.

Very emotional sport romance
Cheyenne and Cut's story was so good, such an emotional rollercoaster, Tijan's stories always capture me from the start, and this one was no exception. The audiobook is narrated by two amazing narrators Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, I truly suggest you hear the audiobook, they both bring their characters and story to a new level. The topics mentioned within the story enrich it, mental illness is real and the way it was written here was realistic. I loved all characters, this is standalone and I totally recommend it to you.

Outstanding Storytelling!🌟
This is such a different and utterly captivating story.
Cheyenne is the most unique character I think Tijan has tackled to date, she did a sublime job of getting across the mind chaos she lived with, minute by minute and how her meds helped, or how missing them made her spiral!😔 I thought the narrator did a great job of bringing Cheyenne's mania & panic to life. The overload of stimuli and the 'mile a minute' chaotic thoughts were actually portrayed excellently!🌟
Cut is exactly who you hope/want people to be in this life. He has a strong moral compass and is ready to do the right thing, even if it will hurt him! The way he defended and protected Cheyenne was perfection.💘 He's every woman's dream!😍 I thought the narrator did an admirable job of bringing him to life, his inner voice was particularly endearing. I wasn't as keen on his voices for Deek and Chad, that was a personal preference though!
I absolutely love this books storyline. It's my overall favourite Tijan book to date and I'm so glad the Audiobook & it's narrator's cemented that.🎧 The 'found family' and love story fully immerse you into Cheyenne 's life & her battle with mental health. While Cut, with his solid and untainted background, are the perfect antithesis to hers. It's a book with all the ingredients you'd hope for and then some. Unmissable.🌟

Mental health, entitlement and snobism
Wow! This is a heavy book, but so worthwhile to read. Cheyenne is a hyper-intelligent and beautiful woman who had the roughest of starts in life. Her mother was a junkie and neglected her. Her brain is messy and overactive. The reason becomes painfully clear during the story. Cutler (Cut) Ryder is an ice hockey player who makes it all the way to the NHL. He's also the best friend of Chad, the one-time stepson of Cheyenne's birth father. This story had me laughing out loud at times, and practically in tears at others. The twist toward the end came completely out of left field (which is fitting for a sports romance). This book was a little difficult in the beginning until I got used to Cheyenne's thought processes. But it was worth sticking with it because it became one of the most important books Tijan has written. The narrator's each did an excellent job of interpreting the story's main characters and enhancing their personalities.

A favourite for me
I adore Tijan and I’ve listened to a couple of her audiobooks but I’m such a fan of this author I also own the ebook and paperback. This book is brilliant. Sports romance is my go to when I need a break from my darker reads and this one doesn’t disappoint. The narrators are perfect and I love that this has the male narrator doing all of the male parts. This story touches on the struggles that come with some mental health issues and as always is written beautifully and with care and research.
Tijan is a one click author for me and has written some of my all time book boyfriends.
Cut is no different. Cheyenne is a great female main character and their story is perfect. From chapter one I was sucked into this world and I recommend these to all of you audio lovers. If you’re new to audio books this is one to try, the narration is brilliant and I’ll be looking for these narrators in future books.

Just wonderful
A beautiful story that doesn’t sugar coat the realities of living with and loving someone with mental health issues. Kept me invested in these wonderful characters from beginning to end ❤️

As the saying goes you can't pick your family!!!!
I don't write many review but felt I had too. This book is one I've taken very much to my heart. It has helped me understand more about health issues of the brain/mind. I hope people can take away that we all are a little bit crazy and it's ok. Loved that Cut wanted to give Cheyenne a chance and understood her challenges where not total barriers. Thank you Tijan xxx
p.s you must have more stories about the Cat's ;)
p.p.s. I wish I could give you 10 stars....x
