About this listen

When art dealer Ivan Fielding is found dead of a heart attack in his home, it doesn’t initially seem like a case for Detective Inspector Frost and the Denton police force. But then signs of a burglary are discovered, and Frost senses there’s more to the story than meets the eye - even though the only thing taken was a worthless amateur painting.

Then a young girl is abducted outside the school, an infamous gangster fresh from prison arrives in the area and dead bodies start turning up in the woods. As Frost and his team dig deeper, everything seems to lead back to Ivan Fielding’s murky lifetime of misdeeds.

Overall a good example of an Inspector Frost story..
Certainly deserves another novel of a Frost adventure.

Enjoyable

Once again an excellent story from this series ,but for me the narrator isn't suitable for this type of book.

Good story

Too many editing mistakes. Characters were indistinguishable from each other. Audio kept changing. Not as good as previous Frost stories, but better than the abridged versions.

Frost but not Frost

The welcome return of Jack Frost. An excellent story in several parts, Jack has his usual problems with Superintendent Mullet but survives the altercations with his usual aplomb. Great to have him back!.

An enjoyable story. These Frost books are not at all like the previous Frost character of the somewhat bungling detective, who eventually gets there in the end.

Frost is a lot more serious, and unfortunately there not so many funny quips and one liners but this does not detract from the enjoyment.

Narration by Crawford Logan was good.
