I was drawn to his book because of the setting, being a Peckham girl through and through. Sure enough, references to the roads around Peckham Rye where Reginald, the main character lives, had me hooked. Set in the near future, the unfolding events and description of London is worryingly plausible in the current, increasingly nationalistic Europe. Lineker, the dog in the story has become one of my favourite literary characters, brought to life by the wonderful narration. The language is colourful, but so typical of South London. At times I laughed my socks off, whilst on other occasions I was deeply moved. The story is simple enough, but It was totally engaging. Loved it!

I don’t normally write reviews but absolutely had to with this book. I LOVED it. Beginning to end, it had me laughing out loud but also welling up. Would highly recommend for a fantastic adventure story with just the right combo of fun, philosophy, humanity and brilliance.

I found this book enjoyable, but was all the foul language really necessary? At times I found this distracted me from the gems of insight into the world of dogs verses everything else. This book is not for those easily offended, and that's a shame because its a good story with great narration

It's an incredible book, and Adrian J. Walkers ability to bring humour and horror together is brilliant.

Not as clever as I wanted it to be, forgettable and a bit of false advertising - there's lots of dogs in it so the titles a bit of a lie. The dogs themselves are too human, one example without being a spoiler, surely a dog would not be able to discuss a drone, it wouldn't have any reference to work by, it would be a metal insect wouldn't it, but no the author writes the dogs without any attempt to give them their own doggy point of view...they just swear, a lot, which is funny for two minutes then tiresome, then embarrassing, you cannot listen on speaker, headphones only as the language is just crude. Ultimately just not as clever as you want, the idea could be okay but the outcome is just a C, perhaps C+ if you can get past the vulgarity.

Another great read, if you like this kind of thing.
Great story about a man and his dog. The book has layers with the story on the surface an underlying emotions and perspectives. The dogs perspective seems aggressive and vulgar but once past this real passion. I know a guy like this dog! The narrator has, for me got the accent bang on with just the right level of emotion and dullness the character portrays. Well done all concerned in the creation of this audible book. Time flies when you engrossed in a book.

An amazing book. Very pertinent to what is happening now within our own politics.
Everyone should listen or read this book and take the message from within the story.

I found both the main characters voices pretty annoying. But then I'm northern and sometimes that accent goes right through me. I did warm to them but it took a long time. the book shows a dystopian future essentially where UKIP or the bnp get into power and actually could be a good tool for getting racists to empathise with the trials of refugees.
interesting concept and writing front the point of view of a dog though not original was done quite well.
