Summary
One hen weekend, seven secrets… but only one worth killing for.
Jen's hen party is going to be out of control…
She's rented a luxury getaway on its own private island. The helicopter won't be back for seventy-two hours. They are alone. They think.
As well as Jen, there's the pop diva and the estranged ex-bandmate, the tennis pro and the fashion guru, the embittered ex-sister-in-law and the mouthy future sister-in-law.
It's a combustible cocktail, one that takes little time to ignite, and in the midst of the drunken chaos, one of them disappears. Then a message tells them that unless someone confesses her terrible secret to the others, their missing friend will be killed.
Problem is, everybody has a secret. And nobody wants to tell.

.ok but tricky
The idea of this book was ok but it made the listening quite tricky, perhaps this book is best not listend to at bedtime as you need 5o concentrate given the constant switching from one character to another.

Another great Brookmyre
Yes, it's another great Brookmyre. He writes a book a year (+ the Ambrose Parry's with his wife), and this one has not disappointed. It's well written, the characters are well crafted, there are lots of twists and turns, and some laughing out loud moments, and the narrator's performance is enjoyable.: Brookmyre at his best !

Brilliant !
Brilliantly crafted, like watching a really good film, what’s not to like about this twists and turns adventure. Great pace and just so enjoyable. A thrill ride !

Love Chris Brookmyre’s ability to weave a complex plot in an easily listened to manner. This one let down somewhat by the narration.

Great story with many twists and turns.
Another winner for Chris.
The narrator does a fantastic job of all the characters. The writing keeps you in suspense to where the story is going and the kind of who done it style when they are all trapped on a remote Scottish island. As the back stories build up the reader is given some clues and some red herrings to who or what this is all about. Naturally is comes to a satisfactory conclusion.

Another fantastic story! Another fantastic narration! loved the characters and the story and the twists and turns. Hoping for another Ambrose Parry too!
