inspired and God filled- i found myself welling up under conviction of the Holy Spirit, this book is a must for Catholics. it gives great historical, factual evidence & Old Testament proof the Jesus is the Son of God

Brilliant book. Context is important and the insights into historical ancient Judaism contained in these 'pages' shed so much light on who Jesus Christ was and why He said some of the things He did. Pitre helps us understand Messianic expectations within ancient Judaism like Messianic timing. Once you start this book it's one you will read through probably more than once. only problem is which of Brant Pitre's books to read next.

So many questions about the historical Jesus are answered by the author. In this book assumptions and myths are debunked. Jesus is presented as the person featured the gospels, but only after strict interrogation. The only remaining question, is the one of faith
