Summary

In Reasons to Believe, Scott Hahn, a convert to Catholicism, explains the "how and why" of the Catholic faith - drawing from Scripture, his own struggles, and those of other converts, as well as from everyday life and even natural science. Hahn shows that reason and revelation, as well as nature and the supernatural, are not opposed to one another; rather, they offer complementary evidence that God exists. He is someone, and He has a personality, a personal style, that is discernable and knowable.

Hahn leads readers to see that God created the universe with a purpose and a form - a form that can be found in the Book of Genesis and that is there when we view the natural world through a microscope, through a telescope, or through our contact lenses.

At the heart of the book is Hahn's examination of the 10 "keys to the kingdom" - the characteristics of the Church clearly evident in the Scriptures. As the story of creation discloses, the world is a house that has a Father, a palace where the king is really present. God created the cosmos to be a kingdom, and that kingdom is the universal Church, fully revealed by Jesus Christ.

Clarity

Such clarity in explaining the catholic faith to both Catholics and non Catholics. Chapel and verse literally from the Old and New Testament.
It has helped me understand the faith I have professed for so long but had difficulty in explaining to others.

BEST BOOK OF THE PROOF OF A CHRISTIAN GOD

The book I've been looking for.
ive read most of the popular Apologetics literature of the proof of a Christian creator,

From CS Lewis, St Augustine, St Thomas Aquinas, Newman etc . Whilst these are all good works they tend from highly philosophical (not easily accessible to someone looking for simple clear fundamental proofs) to .. Signature in the cell, Bearing false witness, Lee Strobel's case for a creator. all excellent,
(but often too simplistic, evangelical, slightly fantastic and not always convincing)
But this is the book, finally that focuses in layman's terms on these rigorous philosophical, scientific, historical and spiritual arguments for the proof of Christ and that the Catholic church is the only original one true religion and chirch.

This is the handbook to give to your non believing family & friends and to build your argument for challenges from agnostics & atheists.
It is also an extremely powerful book for anybody whose faith is faltering or for lightening the spirit when life is hard.
It reinforces hope.
