Why did a man write the Fibonacci sequence as a clue and tell a stranger he was 'Looking for the Beast' before he disappeared in the barren plains of a desert? Find many more head-scratching puzzles in Tales of Mystery Unexplained.

Twelve chilling tales of mystery

A compelling and chilling walk through a collection of real-life unsolved mysteries. Steph unfolds each in a way that keeps you listening, asking questions and wanting the great reveal, which of course never comes as these are all unsolved cases of high strangeness. The book contains a good mix of well known and lesser known mysteries and its nice to see an author who isn't just focussing on American cases. Like her podcast of the same title, she covers cases from the British Isles also which are usually overlooked by authors. As with all things paranormal its a read best taken with a pinch of salt as if approached with a scientific mind these mysteries start to fall apart somewhat. The synchronicities Steph explores in each case are quite remarkable however and leave you wondering, which is of course the point, a little bit of escapism from the daily grind of life.

In summary, a great complement to her podcast with a number of new cases she has not covered prior.
The narrator does a good job, also English like Steph so none of the usual colonial twang we often hear from Audible.
Lets hope more of her books make it to Audible,

Fascinating

A fascinating book of mysterious unsolved events, well narrated. I did find that the author seemed to disregard a lot of plausible scenarios in the Elisa Lam case though and digressed into tenuous speculation around the links to other events. That said I would recommend this book.
