About this listen
An assortment of real Canadian mysteries published on MysteriesOfCanada.com throughout the year 2018. Includes tales of clairvoyance, ghosts, poltergeists, lost treasure, superstitions, haunted hotels, and monsters.
©2019 Hammerson Peters (P)2019 Hammerson PetersThe subject matter is diverse and wide-ranging, so there should be something to interest everyone. My particular favourites were the early chapters about queer happenings on the old frontier including several First Nation legends and interactions between early European settlers and First Nation groups, and the later chapter on mythical (perhaps!) beasts such as the “Thunder bird”. The stories about the saskwatch were also fascinating (hair-raising in places!) and there were several miscellaneous tales like a seemingly cursed lighthouse.
As a sceptic I admit several stories are difficult to explain rationally, so I’d say whether you’re a true believer in the supernatural (or in the merely ‘strange) or just want to hear a good yarn or two, listening to this would be a good use of your time. Five stars!
A fascinating listen
