About this listen
After years of civil war, the Separatists have battered the already faltering Republic nearly to the point of collapse. On Coruscant, the Senate watches anxiously as Supreme Chancellor Palpatine aggressively strips away more and more constitutional liberties in the name of safeguarding the Republic. Yoda, Mace Windu, and their fellow Masters grapple with the Chancellor's disturbing move to assume control of the Jedi Council. And Anakin Skywalker, the prophesied Chosen One, destined to bring balance to the Force, is increasingly consumed by his fear that his secret love, Senator Padme Amidala, will die.
As the combat escalates across the galaxy, the stage is set for an explosive endgame: Obi-Wan undertakes a perilous mission to destroy the dreaded Separatist military leader General Grievous. Palpatine, eager to secure even greater control, subtly influences public opinion to turn against the Jedi. And a conflicted Anakin, tormented by unspeakable visions, edges dangerously closer to the brink of a galaxy-shaping decision. It remains only for Darth Sidious, whose shadow looms ever larger, to strike the final staggering blow against the Republic, and to ordain a fearsome new Sith Lord: Darth Vader.

I have put off listening to the novels about the movies. But this has been incredible, actually gives you a better understanding of Anakins mind and his relationships. Highly recommend for any Star wars fan.
A surprise to be sure

We get the inner workings of Anakin's mind, we actually understand why he feels as frustrated by the Jedi Council as he does and he stops seeming like the petulant manchild the films made him out to be. The writer actually makes Anakin into an understandable human who gets trapped in an impossible situation, rather than an idiot who can't tell good from bad. The other story threads and characters are all done equally well, from Padmé's confusion about her husband's behaviour, to Obi Wan's heartbreak as the Jedi order falls along with Anakin.
Meanwhile the narrator does an excellent job, with an almost alarmingly accurate Obi Wan voice and a pretty passable Anakin to boot.
Could be my favourite audiobook and one that I will definitely come back to in future.
How the film should have been

Star Wars Revenge of the Sith novel fills in the numerous plot holes created by the film and allows context to be added to characters choices and decisions, making them feel more fleshed out. It also adds extra scenes not present in film, allowing the world in the Star Wars Galaxy to develop and grow.
My only complaint with the novel is that some scenes from the film are better compared the novel due to having more dramatic weight
Overall, this was a fantastic read/listen. I recommend this book to any Star Wars fans who require an entertaining space fantasy read.
What a Surprise!

Now the narration. Jonathan is a good narrator, don't get me wrong. He reads with passion, know what words to emphasise and has a pleasant voice. My problem is with the voice acting. Very few voices were even remotely close. Master Yoda seemed like a bit of a jerk with the voice that he has given, and Grievous didn't seem the least bit intimidating. He sounded more like a butler droid than a sadistic killing machine.
[SPOILER]
The scene on Mustafar where Obi Wan says that Anakin was supposed to bring balance to the force, and that he was his brother are read in a casual voice and thus loses its emotional impact.
[END OF SPOILER]
Overall, I promise it's worth the read, even if you'll have to replace some of the voices in your head.
Very good story, not so good voice acting
