About this listen
From high up on the mountain of Manus Wu, Ramora felt she could reach out and touch the clouds. She sat and waited. The fairy had said she would come. She felt in her pockets for the vial of potion and the silver coin. Freedom - she would buy her freedom from the fairy. It was the only way.
A short story from the world of P.A.W.S.

For a short story it was really good!

Ramora is a young teen, but already old enough for marriage and her parents arrange for her to be wed in three months time to a wealthy merchant.
It will be a bond of convenience, the guy certainly isn't in love with Ramora and she despises him and is desperate for a way out.
One day, when Ramora again contemplates her situation, she finds a fairy hovering by her side. The wee magical being offers her a solution, but there's a price to pay. (Isn't there always?)
Ingredients for a potion have to be found and mixed and she has to steal a silver coin, all to be handed to the fairy on top of mountain Manus Wu in the small hours of her wedding day.
Will it work? Is the fairy to be trusted?
Narration:
Falon Echo's narration is easy to follow and very enjoyable.
Overall:
I love fairy tales, preferably the classics, which are more dark. Ramora would fit nicely into a Brothers Grimm collection. The ending is not what one might hope for Ramora.
I'm not (yet) familiar with the world of P.A.W.S, of which this is a short tale, but the story works fine as a standalone.
Perfect audiobook for a lovely teabreak and five star shaped silver coins from me for Ramora.
