I enjoyed this book, it's quite unique, very well written, the books keeps you engaged and always wanting to know more. The stories of the fea, the mysteries and myths are intriguing.
The narration is flawless, giving each character individualailty.
Over all a very good 1st book in the serise.

it took me a while before i could "feel" this book, but then it became a very nice adventure. i really enjoyed it. loved the characters and narration was good.

Brilliant fantasy story, the story had me hooked from the beginning. The narrator made the characters come to life and really enhanced the book. I am looking forward to listening to part 2

Even though this usually isn’t my type of audiobook ( I wanted to try this out ) it wasn’t a bad read just...I found myself just wanting it to finish due to me not having the taste for this type of book. I don’t think I’ll be listening to the 2nd part, not to say this ain’t bad. It was good just not upto my standards of listening. Sorry

This fantasy story is simplistic which helps you visualise everything in your head.
The Characters are all stonger than they thought and the trials of life only make them stronger to over come whats in front of them.
a younge girls life (merisande) is totally changed from start to finish all because of a misunderstanding to a note sent to her father.
i cant wait to read the next installment.

The book felt like a slow burner at first, but damn did it escalate! lots of adventure and action - I especially liked a side story of a white doe that was weaved into the main storyline. Lovely book - highly recommend!
