This one is such an enjoyable book the characters were well developed at the start but seeing the way that they further grew and matured was so entertaining. The back and forth of the characters and the way that they gradually developed their relationship suited the way their characters were created.

Wow these two! I knew I loved Lowell! He's fabulous, unapologetically himself, kind and generous, he's unique from other "fabulous" type characters I've read and I'm glad he could open his heart.
I enjoyed getting to know Brent and I liked how Brigham approved Brent's new "outness". it wasn't just "I'm out and everything is rainbows". Brent had to face his closeted mannerisms and relearn that it was okay to be himself and embrace his true self.
While you know the likely hood of what's going to happen on a road trip like this I really enjoyed their connection and that they both learnt from each other and weren't what was "expected".
I loved these two and am loving this series!!

Thanks to Gay Book Promotions I got the chance to hear this fun story. Brent and Lowell end up together taking a road trip. It starts out pretty rough but develops into something else. The secondary characters play a big part to see how these two fit together. There is plenty of emotion, a little fun and the push and pull between friends. The narrator, James Edward Jones brought these characters to life. I’m anxious to hear the next in this series.

Push and Pull is the second book in Ms. Vaughn’s Midwest Series, following on the heels of the sweet, second chance romance of Nathan and Caleb in Bully & Exit. In Push and Pull, we get ex-hockey player Brent Cameron, in a road trip romance with Lowell Prescott. While you don’t need to read Book 1 to enjoy this story, events from that book put into motion the plot in this one. Nathan (from Book 1) is supposed to be road tripping with Brent, but he pulls out and Brent is not happy about it, which overflows into his attitude towards Lowell. But as the story progresses, we see the two men come together into a warm, sweet romance. The romance is light-hearted and fun and as you might expect, there’s a lot of dialogue. The banter was done well and the two men definitely have chemistry. The story is called Push and Pull for a reason and we see that dynamic play out in the character development.

James Edward Jones continues his narration of this series and continues to do a solid job of it. He brings the characters to life and puts emotion into the words he’s delivering in the right way.

Push and Pull is the second book in the Midwest Series, a sweet contemporary series that can be read as standalone books. I recommend reading the series in order to fully enjoy each of the characters and their stories.

In Push and Pull Brent finally goes on his road trip that he has been planning with great anticipation. Unfortunately, his best friend has to pull out of the trip, and Brent is left in a bind. Enter Lowell, a vivacious and bright young man who is not afraid of expressing himself. This plot set up is the start of a fun and entertaining romance. I really enjoyed watching both Brent and Lowell fall in love with each other. They both were so reluctant at first to fall in love, but when it happened, oh was it satisfying.

The audiobook was narrated by James Edward Jones who does a nice job narrating the story. James’ voice has a smooth quality which made this book an enjoyable listen.

I got so into this story that I couldn't stop listening. I am intrigued and need to go find out if MIcah got a story himself. These two characters were great and typical of what you would find IRL.

Brigham Vaughn is one of my absolute favourite authors and this was another amazing story! James Edward Jones brought Brent, Lowell and their journey to life. Beautifully written and I adore the setting of the series - Chicago and the Midwest are gorgeous and it was portrayed wonderfully. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series!

A great addition to the series by Brigham Vaughn. Want to say the second story is just as good as the first. Lowell and Brent are fantastic together. So glad they got their own story. James Edward Jones did a super job with the narration.

I loved this story so much when I read it and I really think this narrator has made me love it even more. He has a great delivery that makes it really easy to follow the story and he does so well in making the characters distinctively themselves.

I loved Brent and Lowell and their road trip (which made me want to do the same trip) and their personal journeys to a better understanding of themselves and each other.

I thought Brent’s personal development and gradual adjustment of his self-image was particularly well-done. I thought he and Lowell were very convincing together (from the grumpiness at the start to the sweetness by the end). Lowell has his own journey to make too and he was also a very likeable character.

Micah was horrible in this story but the green shoots of redemption were just about visible and those are developed in the next story.

Such a good story and audiobook. ❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed listening to this. I liked how it was a journey for them both, one is learning to being out publicly and the other character is an out and proud full of life character but has trust issues. They started by not getting on but slowly starts getting on and enjoyed getting to know each other. They had some serious chemistry too. I loved how the narrator adjusted his voice to fit both characters. Such a sweet story 💜
