About this listen

Holly's cauldron is bubbling over and ready to blow!

Following six months of intense training under some of the country's most skilled potion masters, Holly's head is full to the brim.

When she's offered a new assignment with the Supernatural Protection Agency, she jumps at the chance to take her newfound skills out of the workshop and into the real world.

What she didn't expect was to wind up tailing a suspected werewolf killer right in her own backyard.

Literally.

When another werewolf turns up dead, Holly and her roommates are locked in a race against time, and the killer might be even closer than they think.

One bad witch makes for one good book

I enjoyed this book. This book continues on from the last and I would recommend you read the books in order, to keep the continuity going. Don't worry you won't be disappointed, I haven't given this series anything less than a five star review, yet! This book is no exception. I want to say it is the characters that keep me returning but to be honest the mystery is just as good. The unusual cast of characters living all under one roof is fun, especially with there different personalities and powers but they have become one big family that will do anything for each other. Even bring a wand to a vampire werewolf fight to the death. Despite knowing (or at least thinking) we know who is responsible the mystery was engaging and had me hooked, just to see how it was going to turn out. Off to start The next book, actually I am loving this series so much it might even have to be the next three book box set.
Holly time at the Supernatural Protection Agency as a potions master is going well, so well in fact that they want to put her in the field as an investigator. They need her to spy on her new housemate. There has been a number of werewolf deaths lately and every time her new housemate has been close by. With her friend Nick having only just joined the local wolf pack the last thing Holly wants is to hear someone is killing pack members, so she agrees to leave her lab and once again put her life in harms way to investigate . When the alpha's mate is killed, Holly finds herself with a seasoned partner and in the middle of a werewolf and vampire disagreement.. Can they find the killer? Especially as it seems Nick is dating the prime suspect.
I like the narrator. She is the reason I started listening to this series in the first place but now I am hooked.

good cosy romance

3,75🌟 This was a sweet cosy romance with an interesting murder mystery. The potions making was cool, the special agent assignment was interesting enough and the narration was really good. But the romance part is very lacking and rather disappointing.
