Summary

Radio shock-jock Jack Caramac is used to controversy - but when his four-year-old son is kidnapped, he knows he may have gone too far. Jack has no choice but to turn to Dan Starkey for help. Dan has finally given up on journalism, and resolves to catch whoever kidnapped Jack's son. Instead, he finds himself in the middle of a violent feud between rival drug gangs, as the case spirals ever more out of his control...

Very Funny, Totally Belfast !!!

Very Funny a true reflection of Belfast. Witting Laugh out Loud stuff. A great listen!

couldn't put it down!

I do enjoy Colin Bateman's story telling and this one does not disappoint! Dan Starkey is a bit of a plonker, but you can't help liking him and wanting him to come through smiling, and at times I was on the edge of my train seat cheering him on (no idea what the other passengers thought!). I have a number of books in my audible library which I dip in and out of, but this one I just couldn't wait to listen to and was a little sad when it finished! So much so, I found the longest Colin Bateman book I could find and downloaded it the very next day!

Another enjoyable adventure for Mr Starkey

It's the least humorous setting, but somehow you're laughing. Colin Bateman weaves a complicated web for our non-hero to try to extricate himself, and those closest to him, from.
Well worth a listen, and excellent narration by Adam Moore.

I love Colin Bateman's dark humour, great book

Colin Bateman can't go wrong, especially when narrated by Adam Moore. Great story and engaging narration.

Irish Trainspotting

All the thrills with none of the scotland and some higher stakes. A lot of fun to listen to, would benefit from A cast reading.

good but pity about the narrator

great story as ever from bateman however my only gripe is the lad who narrates it. starkey should be late 40s and eaat belfast accent. not sounding like a 20 year old from the malone road.
