About this listen
A star-studded cast of readers presents unabridged tales of horror and suspense from master storyteller Stephen King.
The Stephen King Amusement Park - an unnerving experience, with rides every which way to hell...and a few to glory.
A solitary finger pokes out of a drain. Novelty teeth turn predatory. The Nevada desert swallows a Cadillac. Meanwhile, the legend of Castle Rock returns...and grows on you. What does it all mean? What else could it mean? Stephen King is here with a powerful collection of stories - a vast, many-chambered cave of a volume.
The long reach of Stephen King's imagination will take you on a roller coaster to places you've never been before. You will lose sleep. But Stephen King, writing to beat the devil, will do your dreaming for you.
This edition includes an introduction read by Stephen King plus 'Suffer the Children' read by Whoopi Goldberg, 'Crouch End' read by Tim Curry, 'Rainy Season' read by Rob Lowe and more.

Strangely enjoyed the “Head Down” essay and although King liked “Umney’s last case” it was the one I enjoyed the least
Good mixture

But that music that literally interrupts all the narrators, not just one story, every damn one & sometimes competes so loudly the narrator is left competing in mid sentence before waiting for it to stop. So annoying! I’ve noticed this on a few Stephen Kings audiobooks… WHYYY?! 😭
Why Oh Why The Ear Blasting Random Music Intervals?

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Some of the narrators are just great, and Stephen King himself crops up more than once to add his own contributions, which is a great touch. In fact, so does his wife, Tabitha King. Rob Lowe stood out as a particularly good narrator, and overall the contributions from such as Whoopi Goldberg and Matthew Broderick added a really nostalgic 80s touch that I really enjoy. The stories weren't all as tight as, say, The Night Shift, but it's definitely worth a listen. Recommended - with reservations.Good overall, but a mixed bag
