About this listen
An old-fashioned britches-ripper with a tooth and claw twist.
Being the prince of all werewolves sucks.
Almost 10 years ago, I did my duty and married a female even though I was desperately in love with an older man. When she died giving birth to a child who could never take the throne, I ran. I left home, shirking my responsibilities, knowing eventually they’d catch up to me. Well, they have. My father now insists I marry a female half my age so I can father a proper heir and secure our rule over the First House for several more generations.
Being chosen to serve the king is a dream come true.
Even though I grew up poor, I worked hard to support my mother. When my mentor chose me to travel to America with the king, I was unbelievably honored to meet his son, the future ruler of all werewolves. I didn’t know how to react when I first laid eyes on Prince Caster, but he cast a spell over me with a single glance, and my life changed forever. I was not only looking at my future king, but the man made just for me. The moment his lips met mine, I knew this story would end horribly…in either heartache or death.
Denying destiny is a terrible idea.
As desperately as I want to ignore my attraction to the common brown wolf, I cannot. The moment I saw the warm glow of his amber eyes, the need to take him into my arms and drag him off to my bed was overwhelming. Alas, I have a duty to perform, and it doesn’t involve the man Mother Nature made only for me.
This story won’t end well…I just know it.
Night of the Blood Red Moon is a paranormal gay romance with an HEA ending.
©2022 Patricia Logan (P)2022 Patricia LoganI really like Caster, not many people like him, think him arrogant etc.. but this first book really gives you a background into his story and he fully redeemed himself!
Emory is totally adorable 🥰
Excellently narrated by John Solo.
Highly recommend this series, especially if you loved Prosper Woods Chronicles.
The gang are also in this series too, including little Hannibal, and now Oliver 🥰❤️

For Emory being chosen to serve his king is a dream come true, maybe with time he can become something more. He grew up poor and he help support his mother. His mentor chose him to travel to America with the king as his senior valet, he was excited to meet the future ruler of all werewolves.
When they first meet they didn’t know how to react, they felt an instant connection but until the first time together they knew what they were for each other and that everything isn’t going to end up good for them.
So many things are complicated and separated them, Caster need to do his duty and he have responsibilities but also Emory is just a common wolf, but can they ignore Mother Nature?
This was a great story, I live Emory and Caster. They have so many obstacles but the need to be together is impossible to ignored. John Solo did a great job narrating this book!
Great paranormal story!

Caster is set to take the throne of the werewolves, but his father’s not gone yet. The prince married a woman, despite loving a man, and she bore him a son before she died. Caster was told his child was defective – would never shift, would never be normal, would never ascend to the throne. He believed those things and therefore left his son behind in the old country and moved to America where he was free to pursue more, uh, interesting diversions. Chickens come home to roost, though, and soon his father is demanding another marriage – this time to a woman half his age – so he can sire a proper heir. Caster has provided every advantage for his son, but has never visited the boy. This broke my heart. I hoped that might change when Caster brings to boy to America.
Emory is a brown wolf. A mere servant. When he’s tasked with caring for the old king on his trip to America, the younger wolf steps up. He’s worried about the older man’s failing health, and is unstintingly devoted. He’s also fascinated with Prosper Woods and when he goes out for a run – after a shift – he discovers a whole bevy of characters, including the Unicorn King, his Vampire mate, and his son Hannibal. When Emory returns to where the entourage is staying, he encounters Prince Casper. His life changes forever.
I loved how the story evolved. Especially how little Oliver and Hannibal found kindred spirits in each other. I despaired Casper would be forced to marry his child bride, but I knew I’d get my happy ending. So my stress was in vain. In the end, this was a lovely story with more to come.
Quick shout out to John Solo – I enjoy his work and this story was no exception. Great job.
Finally, I have to say how much I enjoyed the letters to the advice columnist Crabby. I looked forward to each new chapter because of it.

Since his father's health is declining, he has decided to visit Caster and he is bringing his son Oliver with him as well. Oliver captured my heart in an instant, he is so sweet and there is a lot more to him than anyone suspects.
I found Emory sympathetic and endearing from the beginning. He is a servant who has been chosen to accompany the king on his visit to the prince. Emory loves serving his king and he does so with complete enthusiasm.
And then he meets Caster for the first time and I saw the sparks fly right away.
After my initial difficulties, I was captivated by the story fairly quickly.
I really liked the development the story took. And of course there is intrigue at court. The secondary characters were diverse and very different. The story was exciting and entertaining.
John Solo brings the characters to life and he did a great job with his narration. What I liked best was his entertaining way of presenting the column at the beginning of each chapter.
Great spin off!
