I’ve a few Nora Roberts audiobooks which I’ve enjoyed listening to. I started listening to this and immediately noticed that it felt dated in both tone, language, attitudes and in references or landline phones being the only form of communication. The storyline was fairly typical for Nora Roberts in that it involves a murder mystery alongside a romance. When done well this can be enjoyable however in this instance the characters are pretty unlikeable, self centred and annoying. I stuck with this until the frankly incredulous ending where everyone lives happily ever after and felt irritated by the lot of them. Heyho. Don’t think I’ll be bothering with anymore Nora Roberts books
