Summary
Their happily ever after is over before it begins, unless they can change time.
London 2001.
Popular stage actress Jennifer Knight just turned 49, and she's fine with her life, thank you very much. Or she was, until her beloved niece accidentally time travels them both to 1988, bringing her face-to-face with her first husband.
Computer guru Lance Davies is more comfortable with machines than people. He never knew how to handle his beloved, mercurial Jen. But now, her future self is here in front of him, and he wants another chance. Jen's traitorous body insists that home is in Lance's arms, but her heart has trust issues. When Lance follows Jen into the future, time tangles. According to the computer, they both died. Their hope of a future together is over, unless her genius brother can help them change time.
Critic reviews
"Susan B. James deftly weaves a tale of romance, time travel and history. What makes this story stand out is that James does not take us back to 1988 for a do-over. As Jen and Lance try to straighten their timelines out, they are both well into their fifties when they journey forward to 2005. The combination of a love that has never died and a historical backdrop from the not too distant past will capture listeners' attention and make them hope that maybe this time, Lance and Jen will get it right." -- Ind'Tale Magazine

brilliant story
Loved every second of it. I couldn't stop listening. especially the last 8 chapters. And the last 4 chapters i stopped everything and just listened as the characters and the different timelines were getting a bit confusing. i kept rewinding to make sure that i was understanding it well. But I loved it. Definitely worth a credit. I think these 2 books would definitely make a great TV show. The narrator was very good.

Romance and sci meet up
"This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."
This is the first time I have read or listened to a romance novel. The time travel part of the book is something that intrigued me, so I thought I would give this a go.
It has enough of the sci-fi component to keep me interested and was much better than I had anticipated. There are a couple of crunchy moments but overall the story is great.
It adheres to some of the rules set out and was an easy and enjoyable listen.

Behind The Scenes and More Romance
I so enjoyed this book - after the romance and time-travel in the first book this one gives more insight into the backstory or the in-between story as to the journey of creating time-travel and Lorena gets a chance to see her beloved Dave once more but will it be just a a visit or can she change the future. Another who we met briefly in book one finds that maybe love is possible second time around.
It is so hard to write a review without giving away the story so your only option is to read it - for fans of both time-travel and romance, I promise you will not be disappointed, I certainly wasn't and I am not really a great reader of romances but the author meshes them together so well, that fans of both will enjoy I am sure.
I was given this book free and asked if I would write a review, it was not a contract so I was not forced to do so. So this is written because I want to share my love of this book and this author and not forgetting the marvellous narrator who bring the characters alive so well.
